Maybe it's a dead-end. Maybe you'll lose things that you hold dear. Maybe the voyage will leave you bruised all over. Maybe it was a futile attempt from the start. Maybe you never really deserved the good ending after all.

Still, you'd at least get closure. That you tried. The fact that you know you did your best and that you didn't miss out.
