A F2P game that has been out for > 10 years and is actually good? is that possible? actually it is

If your looking for something to bridge the gap between MW5 and waiting for MW6 release then MWO is not a bad choice for mech action.

The F2P elements seem pretty fair, you get a ton of money for your first 25 games. Enough to full kit out any mech top to bottom, even expensive assault mechs (but don't do this). You also get a selection of 4 free mechs in each weight class, and these free mechs have special perks to make them equivalent to a fully leveled up mech (these are designed by the community).

The interface is terrible but its from like 10 years ago, the actual in game graphics are not bad. Community is pretty friendly too, if you ask for a mic check at the start of a round you will get a lot of people to perk up and start communicating.

When people ask for games "What DLC is required?" this is an example of YES.

I would say if you buy MW5, you should no question buy this DLC.

All other DLC are optional, but not this one. It really adds a lot of content to the game

Solid robot stomping, robot building fun that would really only be worth it for people that are fans of the franchise BUT:
- with just a friend or two, coop makes everything more fun so extra points for including that
- mods on PC really take it to the next level to add more content, maps and missions

dlc is worth getting, but really only on sale. You can still have a good time playing through the base game campaign

Go in completely blind. You don't need the DLC to start with.

Unique game about exploration of space, and uncovering secrets of the universe. How many other games have 98%+ rating on steam?

Get your own little notebook and go be a spaceman.

Let’s hope all the detailed character focus and massively improved diplomacy lead to a Medieval 3.

It does exactly what it says on the box, it simulates tabletop games. It does NOT enforce rules or anything, it really is a 3d space that you can move pieces/cards around.

That doesn't sound very special, what is special is that there is a mod on the workshop for just about everyboard game ever made. Seriously.

Should have been the first DLC for the game. New factions are great, and playing Han factions nearby is also a ton of fun. The DLC patch actually adds a lot even for people who don't buy the DLC. Big faction rebalances and all the AI Nanman factions exist even if you don't buy the DLC.

NEW BATTLE AND CAMPAIGN MUSIC TOO.
