Make no mistake, this is a truly "labor of love" as steam like to say...

The map is big, varied as hell, challenging, tons of bosses, interesting lore and world develpment (imagine a dark souls on the insect world, thare you are).

This game is PRICED WRONGFULLY, and it should cost more for the tons of content, fun, battles and challenges it gives... it´s like ordering 1 pizza and getting 5 for the same price.

Get it and enjoy it till you get to the bone.

If I had to briefly describe this game in 2 words, it´d be " KOJIMA LEVEL ".

Game producer Yoko Taro made his 1st masterpiece with the creation of NieR:Automata and it´s hell of a ride.

The game has a decent story, more like a roller coaster with steep downs and wild loops, that kept me surprised even after getting hit by 2 big spoilers from websites... even then it surprised me in its very end.

Other than what you already know, we are on 11000 something AD, on the 14th robot wars, and humans now live on the moon, controlling YorHa android forces in the hopes of defeating the machines and get back to live on earth... other than that I cant tell without revealing a twist or 10, so I´ll just stop here.

The battle system is quite frantic, very fast paced action with lots of combos, strikes and dodges, which by the way it´s important to say that you dont depend on animations to finish just to be able to dodge or retreat, just hit the button and you do it, which means that the game begs you to go for it and slash, dodge, combo, hit and run, and it works great!!!

The bosses are varied, and some have unique attacks and several random attack forms, making them very dynamic.

If I was to talk about the characters, at 1st you´d say it´s bullsh-it, but when you play it you can have the bigger picture and they become interesting, as robots are starting to question life values, god existence, even their own purpose, life goals and their own meaning to the planet. So it may sound weird at 1st, but very interesting and experimental in the way they are presented, and not many games do that.

The game sometimes jump from battle straight into a hacking mode, where you become a cursor that has to shot at balls, projectiles and walls to defend yourself or attack other robots, and even the camera has it´s free 3d, top down view, and side scrolling 2d without fear. Its was very nice to see a game pushing artistic direction this way.

And despite the fact that you have to play it 3 times to see the most important endings, each playthough is different:

- 1st you go as 2B, the main female android, having 9S as sidekick
- 2nd you play it as the 9S perspective, going sometimes through different ways to help 2B, revealing parts of the adventure that 2B couldnt see because sometimes they have to split.
- 3rd you continue the story where 2B left, but now playing as A2 android, and sometimes 9S too on the race for the end of the game.

TIP: Search for ending E when you complete the end C or D (dont worry you´ll get the picture when it´s time to do so).
- The battle for the E ending is a pure exercise of creativity. Simple, effective and brilliant.

And ONLY CHOOSE " HELP ANOTHER PLAYERS " if you wont ever touch the game again, remember this as the consequences will be deffinitive.

Enough of this, BUY THE GAME, and use FAR mod to make it real 1080p. This is a MASTERPIECE that deserves to be experienced!!!

Hellblade is not a hack n slash game, it´s the kind of a game that gives a sensorial experience along with battles and puzzles, and it´s heavily focused on Senua herself and her quest to get her beloved back. But don't think it's like those games as Journey where you barely do anything and the game tries to be 10x more than what it is, because this is not the case of Hellblade not even by far.

** BE CLEAR THAT this game is not about "just walking and seeing". You have to fight or you wont make it through.

At 1st it seems just the traditinal "hero quest model", but it´s more than that as Senua has mental illness and is frightened by many voices, some her´s, others from people she met (previously to this adventure), resulting in positive, negative feelings in a mix of courage, solitude, fear, desperation and eariness.

Along with all the creativity used to make this world´s blend of fantasy and reality, the story and its elements become more clear as you progress through puzzles and battles, and you never get the sensation that you´re just on a filler stage.

Watch the feature film the game has ONLY after beating it, and you get to understand a bit more about the things you saw in the game, like the enemies and some cultural and mythical elements.

Choose hard battles even for your 1st playthrough, as they arent really thaat hard anyway, but not less enjoyable.

..........ATTENTION.........

There are collectibles in the game that reveal stories about medieval norse mithology (and a secret steam achievement), 44 on total, and ALL CAN BE MISSED if you dont know where they are. If you got all 44 you´ll see a short movie before the last battle, with some revelations that absolutelty don't break the game, but it's nice to know anyway.

If you're going for this, please check the guides on the internet, because some of them are tricky and if you miss one, it will be available only on the second playthrough, and you'll see how extensive this game is as it takes your time to live the Senua´s drama in a very extensive way, meaning that probably you wont feel compelled to play the whole game again just for a few bits and a short video that you can see on youtube... and an achievement as I said before.

.................

Conclusion.... If you´re looking specifically for a "god of war", if you're all in for the hack n slash thing, that´s not the game for you.

But if you can appreciate the depths of a good narrative done in an innovative way on videogames, you should play this one. Don´t worry because you'll have a good amount of battles enough to fit the story and keep you satisfied.

So... GET IT!!! Live this great adventure. Have in your mind the memories that you went through a game like this.

Support Ninja Theory as they went through a leap of faith to release this game.

Nice game considering a small studio. I can say that Diluvion delivers a very nice package as you navigate through the sea, discovering the dangers of the deep while following the story.

It has a set of nice elements and they all work, except for the camera that has it´s issues only when you position your sub on tight trenches and you really force it to go on a way it shouldn't, like going sideways on these tight places because you got hit, then things get confused, but nothing that comes even close to make the player give up the game or stop playing for a while.

But other than that issue, the game runs perfectly fine... no bugs that I could see, absolutely a smooth ride for me. The game just works very nice.

So you have 3 maps, each one deeper than the other, and you will do some quests to know what´s going on and how to proceed the story... Once you complete the objectives, you can proceed to the next map, and once you reach part 2, you can get back to part 1 of the map in case you need. Dont think it´s a short number of maps, because they will keep you navigating for hours and hours, so I can surely say their sizes are totally OK.

The game has a crew system that needs to evolve to become more important, but it works the way it is, and you can upgrade your team by using tokens on them. So each member has abilities and charge you the price based on them to join yout crew. Once paid, they´re with you, no more charges.

The crew needs food to keep working, so you gotta explore and kill enemies to get food. I cant consider it a grindy game because not a single once i had to stop the adventure to farm any item. Even the farm is related to the quest, so that wont be a problem.

A lot of times you´ll see pirates, so disable them and get the loot, as you need scrap metal for your cannon (they are your bullets), and you can also get torpedos from them, or buying from market places.

The developers found creative solutions to depict the deep sea, and you have many beautiful parts, and lots of places to explore. To each map there´s a boss, and they´re nice, but you will "suffer" a bit to get to the last one, because the last map is the total darkness.

-- CONCLUSION

I chose to be more detailed on my review because this is an indie game, and as there are a lot of trash today, I thought it would be better to give the clearest idea as possible so you wont think this game sucks, because it doesnt at all.

Go get it... it´s worth the price!!! I´ve spent 27 hours and it was well worth it !!!!

OK you´re reading this from someone who has more than 400 hours on the 1st Audiosurf.

The visuals are better, the rest isnt. If you dont own Audiosurf1, buy it! If you do, stick with it, becaus the audiosurf 2 wont be worth your cents...

REASONS...

1 - you dont feel the same punch as the 1st game. the bricks seem to be not tied to the song. It´s like playing mass effect 1 and then mass 2. If you did this, you remember that sheppard moved like he was ice skating on the 1st, while on the 2nd the body movement gave a much better feel. Audiosurf 2 is like leaving the better movements of mass effect 2 and getting back to the 1st.

2 - the rules were softened. the player wont be punished for making ♥♥♥♥. if you fill an entire column, the game wont sound the alarm, and if you put another brick, it will delete just 3 blocks instead of the whole column. WHYYYYY ?????

3 - the painter and the multiplier got merged... WHYYYYY WHYYYYYYYYYY ????????

4 - there are no difficulty levels anymore

UNLESS you´re a fan of the most boring mode of the game, the MONO mode. Then I´d recomment you the to buy audio2.

Other than that, if you´re pusher, pointman or eraser, keep playing the 1st game. I just wont ask for a refund because I bought it for practically 2 dollars on a steam promo, but I went to the last process to ask for a refund and just gave up, but I´m not planning to play this one. Instead ill reinstall the 1st.

But as I have to give my veredict... NO... DONT BUY IT. NOT RECOMMENDED. get the 1st audiosurf, and play pusher PRO, not the ELITE.. the PRO (overall the most aggressive mode that you can play and be extensively challenged).

I cant express my disappointment in words. REALLY CANT.

One of the best experiences I had in gaming in years. HIGHLY recommended if you´re a long term fan or not.

I just played this game too much in all possibilities available, so it´s time to say goodbye now. Thanks a lot Kojima and his team for going against all the odds and releasing it.

Great game, smooth, highly polished engine, top class software.

--== MUST BUY SEAL ==--

EXCELLENT GAME... simple game design, same conditions for all players no matter 200 hours veteran or 0 minute noob, very fast frantic paced action from beginning to the end of each match. No advantages for anybody, you´re relying on your personal skills all the time.

Online service ok... lots of collectibles, flags, hats, decals, and to top it off, crossplay with playstation 4, which means a larger pool of players to compete against.

I'm not a soccer/football fan myself, but I´m a fan of this kinda "battle-cars soccer".

---------- EDIT - 27 / nov / 2016 (now the game is fully playable, if you find a nice discount or if you never played it, NOW I RECOMMEND buying it, but still I dont recommend warner for anyone.

---------------------- My old review below

WARNER GAMES is the next EA. DONT SUPPORT THEM !!!!

By the time I played it, the game still had a lot of problems, but still I decided to go to the end, and it was well worth it.

The only thing that's lacking are the boss battles like the previous ones, but the batmobile took over, and it's so well integrated that it works as practically almost 40% of the game, and it handles nice, it has a great moving capability, and by far it is the best and most functional barmobile EVER in all bat-history.

The scenario is as always very good crafted, keeping the same impressivel level that we are used from past batman games.

The story is nice (to me at least), with a great idea of puting the joker as a product of batman's hallucinations... very nice touch, because now the joker acts like the part of batman that he keeps hidden.

The ending is mindblowing, and while some players didnt agree to the story or for their own reasons didn't like it, at least everybody agrees that totally unexpectable.

And the A.R. challenges can be tuff to beat.

-------> My recipe for how to play it, is this: choose hardmode, upgrade only the items that increases critical blows on sequence, batarang combo, 4x takedown just to get a trophy, and 25% reduction on bullet damage.

If you follow that, I can promise you ragequits on tank battles, endless combos on fights (because you will ride underpowered on hardmode and you have to hit much more to kill the thugs), and specially a ragequit on getting the BRUTALITY 101 achievement... that will be a problem, believe me.
