Here's my take on Elden Ring Nightreign as someone who has been playing Dark souls for the past 7 years.

This game is great! Even though the bosses have varying degrees of balancing, some outright just not fun to fight, you'll still be having fun with your friends regardless. There are some gameplay changes which are different compared to Elden Ring, but the game starts you off with a tutorial to introduce you to it. The returning bosses from the previous souls games are super cool, it gives new light and improvement for the souls vets that want their favourite bosses made to the standards of today. Character classes are fun to play and not difficult to pick up, there's something there for everybody. There is an issue with the lack of communication with random players, as you cannot use voice/text chat and comms are limited. Duos mode is confirmed to be in the works and it'll probably be implemented quite soon, so don't worry about that, maybe just hold off on the game for now. Balancing changes are definitely needed for some bosses, but if you have 2 friends that are willing to play, trust me, you'll have a good time.
