The good: If you love the Warhammer 40k IP and you are a space marine fan then yes buy this game.

The bad: Starting out feels bad especially in multiplayer PVE. If you do not use the meta weapons / builds it can feel doubly bad. They need to tweak a lot of the enemies and weapons to get the leveling process to feel better for all classes. Controls can be janky especially with dodging and parrying which is magnified for classes that rely on those mechanics to survive. The melee classes are not balanced when compared to the ranged classes ie: they are weaker as damage application is more challenging and there are enemy types that you straight up can't damage because you can't get close enough to them because they fly. For multiplayer there is not a huge amount of content, but these left 4 dead style of games always start a little light in that regard.

I have played the Vermintide and Darktide games and this is a worthy successor. At launch those other games required huge tweaks and overhauls to improve the player experience which they eventually did. I am enjoying my romp through the universe, but if you are on the fence I would say wait until it drops in price. If you are a fan though buy this game without hesitation immediately.

It is a standard EA story on rails first person RPG-ish game. I bought it on sale for $6.99 and for that price it is well worth it. The story is excellent as well as the writing and acting. The controls and difficulty as souls-lite but were nothing amazing. I really dislike the fact that you cannot fast travel and given the confusing layout of certain levels it makes you run in circles occasionally. Other than that gripe it is a solid game and is worth it if you can find it on discount if you are a Star Wars fan.

For total war fans this is the best of the series especially if you love Warhammer. There are a ton of factions which play differently, a bunch of units, and many unique & neat features which really keeps the replay factor high. The money needed to unlock is a high barrier to entry, but just buy what you want.

So I have never played another "Darksouls" style of game. I did not intend to buy this game until some reviewers I trust (especially the Angry Joe Show on youtube) gave it rave reviews. The game is really really good, but it is challenging. It is not so challenging that I want to quit, but it does demand your a-game. The game runs great (even on my old processor) & is very stable. The hit boxes for your attacks are the best I have ever experienced, and the combat is extremely engaging & fun. If you are looking for a change of pace give this a go.

If you have played any other of the Paradox strategy games or Civ then you have an idea of what Stellaris is like. It is quality, and I would say if you can find it on sale for $10 as I did then it is 100% worth it. If you do not positively know that these type of fiddly strategy games are for you then it is a bit of a gamble. First, the bad. The tutorial is non-existent, and you will need to play a few games on lower difficulty to figure out how to hunt through the menus to perform certain actions. The interface is not very intuitive, and you do need to hunt for certain specific things. I also believe that the pace of the game can be so slow as to be boring at times further pushing my statement that if these types of games are not for you then you might think twice about purchasing this title. Now, the good. This game fills a niche that few other games exist for, and it is an excellent empire building strategy game (if you love fiddly bits you will love this game). Although I did complain about certain aspects of the inferface, a very good thing about it is that if you mouse over most things it will tell you how to effect that thing (resource, standing, etc). When on sale I would not hesitate to recommend this title, but at full $40 price I would only recommend it to die hard fans of this genre.

If you like large RPGs like Skyrim and GTA then you will like this game especially if science fiction is your jam. The game is not without flaws as there are a bunch of technical bugs & game play tweaking that are needed to improve the experience. Car handling needs an overhaul, the game crashes for me about once an hour, and NPCs / items get stuck or hang on random objects every few hours as well. On the good side the acting, story, and character progression are all deeply engaging. For me these good points outweigh the bad.

This game is a four player survival type game in the vein of Left 4 Dead. You pick one of five archetypes to level up, and play through the various scenarios of the game. I believe that this is an easy game to get into, but a difficult game to master as it can be brutally hard (think Dark Souls hard on higher difficulties). The voice acting & dialogue of the characters are top notch. The melee combat feels tight, visceral, and in my opinion finds a happy medium between arcade style (For Honor) & more simulation style melee (Kingdom Come). If you are a fan of the Warhammer Fantasy intellectual property do not hesitate to buy this game especially if it is on sale.

This is a realistic, objective based first person shooter and is not similar at all to Call of Duty. Teamwork is the #1 priority followed closely by communication. I find this game super rewarding, and fun. It is however extremely difficult, and does not follow the modern tropes of first person shooters. If you love WWII history, want more of a challenge, and are down with tactics then this is absolutely your jam!

GTA is the original sandbox style first person shooter. This is the latest and best iteration of the series. I do not know really what else to say that has not already been said. If you are even remotely interested in this game just do yourself a favor and pull the trigger. It is worth it!

Genesis is rather buggy, is not optimized for performance, and the layout of each biome is rather odd. I much preferred the other expansions / biomes, and this is really not their best work. To top it off Steam declined my refund as I had played four hours yet solidly two of those hours were spent trying to connect to servers & constantly getting time outs and random boots. Thanks Steam! I'll be doing my purchasing via a different service from now on. Another customer lost to other game delivery platforms. Solid work.
