You will hate that you love it. There is endless possibility of exploration, figuring it out yourself, and feeling true grief after a simple mistake throws away a multiple-hour run.

Terraria is amazing on its own. The official developer support to modded is incredible, as it brings together the community. While Terraria does not need mods, many may enhance your least favorite, or favorite, parts if need be. Have fun!

Good game, with or without friends. (Get friends). Immense replayability, but that's really the point of the game. Stay away from lizards.
