It's clear the entire dev team was on-board with what they were going to make. They've crafted a singular experience through-and-through, big, badass servants of the emperor cleaving and smashing through the imperium's enemies. The sounds, dialogue, animations, numbers of enemies, grandiose maps, inner turmoil from various sources, and the scale of it all are impeccable. It's probably the most well executed game I've ever played in this respect.
The downsides are that the singleplayer gameplay has suffered cause they made the game with coop in mind, but I believe they patched some of it to make it less of a hassle.
It's super fun and every wh40k fan should see this as a must-play.

I wish there was more! Even more!
Dev definitely gets what what he's going for.

The flying is extremely well done. It's fun and comes with a fair number of options of parts for customization, each part affecting the use of your plane significantly. It's really fun to go on farming runs, cause it's basically bombing runs and the like in a wholesome disguise.
The graphics are great and the world is lively and interesting enough to enjoy for longer periods of time. Especially since the islands are well spaced to allow you to utilize other aspects of flying.
The weakest part of the game is the menuing and I've experienced most bugs while docking. They seem like bugs that can be fixed quickly so maybe wait a week or for an update if you don't want to go back to your last dock (the game saves at docks) rarely, I'd say.
You can manage a bar, talk with some patrons, supply yourself and others with custom brewed alcoholic beverages of every sort and have employees (albeit, strictly for bonuses).
Brewing is fun and rewarding after you've collected the necessary ingredients yourself, in a plane.
Definitely a buy. It's not as casual as Stardew Valley cause you need to learn how to not crash but it's still a chill and wholesome time.

Update: They've been releasing small fixes every day, so the devs are active and willing to improve their product. It's still fun!

Game's great, running and gunning or playing stealthy leads to very different experiences. Weapons and gear that you have available struck me as kinda small in number but the gameplay is just great. I never really do NG+, which this game has, but I might just do so for this game.
I played on medium in the first playthrough and I found I can mostly just use one squad and not bother too much about the other marines.
The game NAILS the aesthetic; the visuals, sounds, dialogue and voice acting, level variety and gameplay decisions like the implementation of the motion tracker. Part of the great fun of playing this is for all of that: Shooting a bunch of aliens as scared marines. For my playthrough, I always found it tense to walk around, securing an area and not being seen.
I eagerly await DLC, and in this day and age it's probable. I want DLC because I want more, but I also want to see them do more with this game.
This purchase is WELL worth it, any shortcomings are easily ignored. I played the game really slowly, I think, but the campaign took me about 27 hours.

The devs have absolutely NAILED what a Starship Troopers game is supposed to be and they've done it so competently. I don't usually believe a dev when they say a game was a labor of love but I truly believe it with this game. They knew what they were doing in every way. There's a ton of quality of life stuff that just oozes competence, the only thing missing is more content, which is, of course, planned.

I fear the whiners, the fortniters, the dotaers, and the singleplayers that will try to pressure the devs to change the balance or change their vision for the game cause it's a damn near perfect squad-based combat game.

I find this game delivers a very competently coded experience. It takes the wh40k universe and delivers a smooth and greatly fun mob shooter with a variety of unique and fun weapons. Currently before launch it has crashing problems and disconnection issues but it also has good enough coding that lets me get back in to the match within 30 seconds. I can imagine the variety of issues varies between people and I have not explored what kind of problems other people are having.

I love the bolter cause it becomes an impressive piece of artillery in the hands of a human fighting other humans, but it's also nicely limited with magazine count, time to pull it out, etc. to fit into the lore and the game nicely. I find that to be a good analogy for the game at large, it's so very well put together that the care and effort from the devs shine through. I wouldn't say it's the best game in the wh40k franchise because I'm skeptical of the progression. I would enjoy less focus on the levels one progresses through and more of a meta-based rewards system, including more actual unlocks and a bit more meaningful meta progression. The gameplay itself, however, is incredibly fun and well worth returning to.

I've seen many people worry about balance, however difficulty is in the control of the player so it's easy to use a gun intended for level 5 missions with modifiers in a level 3 and forget this context.

This game is advertised as drawing from Front Mission and EDF and I think the dev pulled it off very well. I'd describe this game exactly like Front Mission: Evolved plus EDF. You have 4 (or more) guns you can separately control and tons of big and small things to shoot. It has great variety but it doesn't meet up to those other games, no doubt because teams of developers worked on those after having completed other games in the series and this was produced by a single person from inspiration. It's impressive how much there is and what you can do given that fact.
I want to support this game in the hopes I see more like it because I am a fan of this exact kind of mech game as opposed to the turn-based or slow-moving ones that are around today.

There are some other parts that aren't quite so glowy, like the voice acting, dialogue [nicely resembling EDF], its minimal story [Surely you're not into that since you're interested in a mech game], and very simplistic AI. I beat around the bush when I mentioned variety because this game has a large variety of weapons, and satisfyingly effective ones, but I have no doubt the amount of them will be a negative point for some people. Have no fear, there are still plenty enough weapons to use. Otherwise, there are large, open fields and condensed cityscapes to fight in, even some in-doors missions, and survival missions alongside the main storyline. Enemy variety is also very, very good.

Damian Kubiak wrote in the About the Developer section on the game's Steam page that it's a one-man passion-project with a few other goals he had in the making of Mecha Knights: Nightmare and from my perspective it's a complete success and I'd love to see more.

Best idle game ever, lets you idle for ages and you get all the rewards. So many different pieces to idle with and it's all just wrapped in a bunch of great ideas that helps functionality. Dev's very active in fixing bugs, updating quality-of-life stuff and big expansions, alongside giveaways.
It's basically my dream game
