100% recommend DD1. By FAR better than DD2, unfortunately.

Great, fun game! Easy to get into, though harder to master. Very different from other 'battle-royale' style games, with various play styles when it comes to ship choices. Everything is unlocked through playing the game, with NO PAY TO WIN factor involved. Yes, as always there would be the 'battle passes' or you can spend money to purchase in-game currency to unlock things faster, but nonetheless you can get everything for free. High recommended, especially good with friends.

Worst DLC I ever purchased. I love AoM and all it's previous expansions, but this one is terrible. I was a big fan of the campaign and actually wanted to play more of that, though this one felt very incomplete, voice overs are almost non existent, sound balance is a disaster, cut scenes are horrible and the story is rush and very lame. I don't play this game competitively vs others players so I cannot comment on how strong / op the Chinese civ is, though I find the gardens to be quite imbalanced.

I cannot recommend this game unfortunately. Shame.
