This is an early review, but I will update it once I've fully explored the current state of the game and Early Access progresses.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer (2025) demonstrates how a good reboot should be done. The game feels like the good old days of playing TXR:0 on the PS2 but with modern visuals and updates. The skill/perk system is a tried-and-true method to keep players motivated, and the raw gameplay is simply a lot of fun - blasting down the highway at high speeds, weaving through traffic.

Although I've been listening to my own playlists in the background, I really appreciate the effort that went into "remixing" the old OST.

Some things I hope Genki adds during the Early Access phase:

• Louder engine/shifting noises for better auditory feedback
  
• Manufacturer decals, if possible
  
• Some tweaks to the dialog windows (e.g. some typos)

The game runs at 60 FPS on Steam Deck with low to medium settings, FXAA enabled and 90-100% render resolution. Keep up the great work!
