The game is good. Very good. It's just very different than the first one. In the first Frostpunk every single human, coal, iron, etc. was a valuable resource and you had to manage stuff very well for you to thrive. In this game you get notifications like "150 people died of cold" which is something you see and kind of ignore because it doesn't matter so much anymore. The biggest difference is the politics. Literally the main way to progress and thrive is to play government which is basically what you did in the first game too but in Frostpunk 2 it feels like the laws are more important than any human, resource, building, event, everything. Just vote laws. Game is still very similar to the first one but it just lost it's catch for me. I wish I didn't have to say this but I feel bad for hitting the 2.1 hours mark and not being able to refund the game.


AGAIN, game is good it's just a me problem.

Let me start this one with me admitting I pirated this game first. I felt like this is an interesting game and want to try it but don't have enough trust in another indie dev to steal my money for a bad game. AND with this being said, after a healthy 100+ hours played with barns and animals bought, I have finally decided to buy this game just to support the development of the game. It has potential and looks like a great game forward. Sure still needs some tweaks here and there but I can see the game being great in the near future...even though the game released literally 4 years ago... I have high hopes for the game.

You've seen CS:GO...Don't think CS2 is better.

Game of the year award easy choice. 1000% worth the price.
