i've had goofier interactions in my 200 hours of playing this game than in my 6500 hours of playing team fortress 2

A faithful recreation of Citizen Burger Disorder, with even more mechanics, food options and chaos - incredibly fun with friends!

Would 200% recommend

Seemingly simple yet surprisingly complex to master. Shame it doesn't have players very often, although that shouldn't come off as a surprise considering the game ships with only 3 maps and the gameplay can get a bit repetitive fairly quickly.

Not sure if I'd recommend buying the game on its own because of it, but it's a nice bonus if you're getting the Valve Complete pack. Would love to be able to play it more often :)

It's pretty difficult to rate this game as a whole, considering once you're done with the amazing base game the natural next step would be to play online, which is a mild disaster of its own with a ton of pros and cons. A lot of people tend to forget that this game is more than just GTAO, but can you really blame them considering it's all Rockstar really "cares" about (I put it in quotes for obvious reasons, the content updates we've been getting are great and all but it does not excuse the state the game is in security and cheating wise).

The story is pretty good, not as memorable as some other games I've played (at least in certain aspects) but it is overall very likeable and enjoyable, with plenty to go around on its own (it took me roughly 100 hours to complete it from start to finish minus doing the extra stuff afterwards, that's quite a lot of gameplay value and very well worth the money alone).

Despite online being way too grindey for my tastes, there's still plenty of stuff you can do not to get bored and still make a decent sum of cash. I kind of like the idea of doing stuff on the side in order to afford all the shiny stuff. Although, it really sucks how R* has implemented mechanics/glitches (intentional and unintentional, regardless) to purposefully screw with you and get you to buy Shark Cards, and they have very misaligned priorities in terms of what aspect of the game they should be focusing on.

Now starts the tricky part - basing your *entire public* multiplayer mode on peer-to-peer where IP addresses of players are always visible between them is a horrible practice on so many levels I can't put it to words. It's obvious this was done to cut down the costs of running centralized servers and so the game could potentially live on even past its expiration date, but for the love of god this is just not the way to go. Most players you meet in public sessions are reasonable enough not to do anything with that information, but the fact that it's readily available really makes me feel like I'm only safe in private or friends only sessions (if even there is safe of course).

I don't know what else to say really. TL;DR the game is definitely worth getting for singleplayer alone, and if multiplayer isn't your cup of tea avoid it at all costs, simple as.

I never thought I'd see myself spending more than a couple hours across a random session or two on this game and dismissing it as another "fun but I don't see myself playing this regularly" kind of Valve game. Boy was I wrong...

It feels a bit too early to say it considering 36 hours is nothing compared to what some people have achieved, but at the same time you really have to ask yourself how people manage to spend a triple, if not quadruple hours on such a seemingly dated game. That's when I came to the realization that this game truly has a charm in a similar way like TF2 does.

Albeit similar in gameplay, even though the DoD franchise will never be as influential as TF is, I can definitely see the appeal in playing this awesome casual combination of various gameplay mechanics and overall WW2 theme. Quite a pleasant surprise really, not much else to say.

Quoting my original ETS2 review: It may have a ton of flaws or just missing details that could be added but the game is perfect for an average enthusiast, as well as the casual truck driver with little to no knowledge about them.

Despite being quite literally the same game but with different content, playing ATS as someone who is from Europe has such a different vibe in a way I can't explain. Not in a bad way either, I quite enjoy it. I just wish it was as popular as its sister game, since I primarily play either TruckersMP or Convoy with friends. Does not make it any less enjoyable however! :)

This game has been on my wishlist for as far as I can remember, and while I have been keeping an eye out for it I never really felt the need to get the game, until recently when a friend of mine gifted it to me and realized that I should have gotten this game way sooner.

I grew up playing Valve's GoldSrc and Source games, so some of the movement mechanics felt pretty weird to me. Not that it's a bad thing of course, it has its own style and I've grown to very much like it as I've played the game more and more. It's just a small heads up for anyone who might or might not be in the same boat as me before getting the game. Very quickly you'll stop noticing that, and the game will feel very much natural.

As someone who doesn't even like platformers all that much to begin with, I was more than pleasantly surprised to find out how fun this game could actually be! I've only watched some gameplay footage of it, so I didn't expect to see anywhere near the amount of content it really has. You can tell that the luck factor is very much there, but there's still a ton of skill involved and it's a fun journey trying to master all the mechanics it has to offer.

Absolutely can't recommend this game enough, non-stop dopamine rushes guaranteed.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to spice up their trucking game. Sure you have two vans escorting you to your destination (which just adds to the realism and the trucking feel as a whole), but that doesn't make it any less of a challenge.

A must-have DLC for a must-have game - a great expansion of the base game with a lot of additions to gameplay and the soundtrack. There's a reason 90% of the workshop mods use content from this DLC.
