Really great DnD adventure with fun tactical battles, very ambitious and impressive coming from such a small team!
A really original point is that at character creation you even assign personality traits to the 4 heroes you create that will affect how they respond to dialogues. Due to the game needing the narrative to go certain ways this aspect doesnt always live up to expectation in the main campaign but it's still a nice touch and I had some chuckles seeing my character react like an A$$ and thinking "Oh yeah of course he/she'd say something like that."

The pacing has up and downs with some slow narrative parts and some others picking up, but whenever that happens the quest for loot kept me entertain (the game has a decent economy with shiny items being hard to purchase).

Art wise the envirs go from great to alright, characters are pretty stiff with the occasional choky animations (Looking at you Elemental death animation unsuccessfully attempting to replicate PoE's Malachai death anim) even if there's clearly efforts put into them!
Musics are great, but they get repetitive by the second half. They also get chosen randomly for fights making boss encounters less memorable by not having its own bada$$ theme.

Overall a very fun experience with its own world and lore to discover, scratching successfully the DnD itch. Excited to try out the campaign editor afterwards! :)

Edit: Beat the game and tested the editor. The ending is a bit abrupt and underwhelming (feels like they ran out of budget for new creatures) and final npc dialog is basically"cool thanks, well gotta go!" but still it was a fun campaign.
The editor has great UI but it stripped down to the basics. You can make flat dungeons and interconnect them, nothing like the maps you ll encounter in the main game. No world map either. I was kinda hoping it would have characters do speak anims during dialogues too like in the game but instead it's a whole new dialog system (!) with no camera movements and text popping out at the bottom.

Game's not even finished and there's already an incredible amount of content with super creative character design and surprising multi stage boss fights. Musics are rad, the pixel art is some of the best since Metal Slug and it's overall a load of fun with a crazy unique mix of fantasy, sci-fi and eldritch horror!

Despite being short, it really didnt feel like this game respected my time sometimes clearly trolling ( the slow elevator) and then just abusing it ( repetition of the car sequences). Great art style, a world I wanted to explore but no substance or actual point leaving me just disappointed by the non ending. I can't recommend it.

Think educational games suck? Well, think again. I'm not sure what I learned with Frog Fractions, but I will never forget it.

Best parts of Frog Fractions:
- bunch of numbers, sometimes really long
- learn about frogs diet
- a really cool hat for true fans

This game's sometimes be a bit korny, but don't be deceived by it's appearance: it's really great and goes much DEEPER than you'd expect.

I love this game so much. Perfect cross of creativity, exploration and action by yourself or with friends. 10/10
Incredible devs that have been adding massive amount of free content for 9 years now going above and beyond. Definitely one of my top 10 favorite games of all time. <3

What an underrated gem, how have I not heard of this game earlier?

This is basically the cross of binding of isaac and super metroid, and it works REALLY well.
The controls are great, the runs feel really different, great level design and quite a lot of content. After 11 hours and 4 successful runs I still haven't met maybe a third of the bosses?
Extremely impressed this is all done by one person. :0

cons:
- I wish I could lock my position while free aiming contra style rather than the diagonal aim lock. Makes it hard to shoot straight up without walking on some controllers.
- like binding of isaac, some power ups are better than others leading to unbalanced situations.
- like isaac, you wont know what an object does until you pick it up. There's a couple that can completely ruin a good run which I find always kinda frustrating.

edit: DONT LISTEN TO REVIEWS SAYING YOU NEED KNOW THE SCRIPTED EVENTS TO SURVIVE RATHER THAN PURE STRATEGY. I did half of the game with all optional goals ( except very first mission) and I havent died once nor went back to redo a single mission to grind XP. The game is extremely well balanced. Use all your tools cleverly and you will do fine. Obviously its easier once you know what s gonna happen but it is definitely not needed for victory in any of the scenarios i ve played.

TLDR: I love this game. Amazing design, FFtactics but without RNG. Pure tactical with true strategic depth, varied situations and humor.

I m just an hour and a half in as of writing this review but I gotta share my thoughts:
This is one of the best tactical games I have ever played. Why? The map design is fantastic. Not surprising coming from the legend of grimrock folks!
The characters are simple to understand and use but offer tons of interesting strategy, especially with a good use of the lil mage's teleport ability. In that short time I've found myself thinking and coming up with cool plans and tricks to misguide the enemies, make them waste time or getting rid of them before they can damage or just finding interesting tricks to achieve the optional quests just in time before trouble starts. It's really, really well designed. Its a tactical that makes you think like a puzzle, except you dont have get stuck if you make a mistake. YOU JUST DIE.

The art is gorgeous, modeller from Grimrock got teamed up with a crazy good animator. Its bloody fluid.
Soundtrack by scoring helsinski is incredible as usual. Seems they were asked to follow Nobuo Uematsu's style maybe? ;)
Some rif of final fantasy in that victory theme and in some of the battle themes. It's great.
Writing is witty and funny, the game doesnt take itself seriously but it's not childish though.
Monster design is top notch, lots of variety too. Only done 4 maps or so and already seen 10 different creatures at least!

Also good thing to know: They are planning to release the level editor they used to make the game so we can possibly expect a lot of extra game content in the future. Grimrock got a bunch of cool extra campaigns and adventure across its life time easily tripling the original game's life. Druidstone is said to be 15 hours long but i think we can expect double once modders get in there ( this team makes really good level editors, can expect something pretty intuitive) and you can also replay the campaign in higher difficulty or replay maps to achieve more optional objectives.

Yay.

PS: I see a few reviews saying the game is insanely hard. I don't really get it. About 12 missions maybe in normal, first playthrough, beat the 2nd boss Oghma and got every optional quests on first try, no game over, 1 char KO once. I'm no genius, the game is totally doable.
There s almost no RNG ( 100% chance to hit, fixed damage. What is random is monster drops or hit chance only if ennemies are dazed). Only tip I'd say is teleport is incredibly useful ( i use it almost every turn tbh) to place your team or move a monster in the right spot ( to combo with dynamite barrel, or with another spell. Tons of fun combos possible)!
