Despite its issues, Battlefield 2042 is a really fun game. It has a lot of the Battlefield elements that I personally enjoy while implementing new features and mechanics that are experimental or known to other games. I think that people need to stop thinking that the game is a successor to Battlefield 4 and start taking it as its own title.

The developers have also been very communicative about the fixes to come and when it comes to bugs and gunplay issues, they are relaying a lot of information and internal discussion about the topics. We already had a day 1 patch that fixed some of the bugs and they have already confirmed there will be two more big patches this month to fix even more bugs.

At first this game seems like a failure, but once you get to Bibou's father's story arc at around 35 hours of game time, the true beauty of this game emerges.
