I avoided this dlc due to the reviews, then I accidentally bought it on fanatical thinking it was Odyssey...

I actually have enjoyed the content. I think its overpriced.

It feels like it has less replay value,

It definitely is usuable with all DLCs.

It would be nice if it had more content, added more in the way of demonic activity with pawns, zombies and vampire narrative experiences.

5.5/10 GAME PLAY
7/10 STORY

Looks like more than it offers.

Its only Xcom like in the battles, and VERY loose and light loot system and "hideout" management if you can even call it that. -By loot system you get a couple items at the end of a battle, and can trade for items with resources from factions you build relationships with.

You only are allowed 8 recruits which have conversations between missions that are light context.

The best part is the skill tree.

It looks like the game builds into a larger conflict and my choices impact the D-DAY invasion.

VERY OBVIOUS ISSUES THAT APPARENTLY ARE NOT WORTH FIXING:
Cannot throw nades over walls.
Cannot overwatch from towers.
Visual pathing bug
Visual stealth kill bug
If you press skip during camp conversations the v.o. continues regardless while the new one starts.
Bug where overwatch does not trigger when enemy decends into overwatch area on train map.

Really enjoying this so far, finished first play through and died on final day battle?

Unique experience for a rougelike deckbuilder, not my usual game type but between the character relationships and choices I didnt put it down for nearly 4 hours.

Early Access Review
Trese Brother games only get better than the better they already were.

Please fix the translation. The story seems like it would be good, but the translation really pulls me from immersion and on occasion comprehension.

Hard to rate for these reasons. It has some things right, that seem to carry the things that are at times seriously lacking.

It feels like a downgrade in play for sea battles from Port Royale 3. I could accept turn based. I love turn based RPGS, but Its just "meh"

The micromanagement with the ui is terrible, but its mostly functional. Quality of life improvements are desperately lacking with setting up autotrades with warehouses. Its so easy to become rich either way cranking out ships. I never saw a single war the entire Spanish playthrough other than one pirate with two sea battles.

The DLC will not work for me at all despite following dev steps.

I would say the game is a 5.5/10.

It needs to be polished but its never going to be what I hoped. Maybe if the DLC worked, I might find something more in it.

Bought the DLC and game yesterday, followed the steps to clear cache.. Didn't work, reinstalled game, didn't work. How is this not fixed after several years? Can't return key, didn't buy on steam, so if you do buy the game, get it on steam to make sure the DLC works first.

I bought this because an actor buddy of mine voiced the battle cruiser, Hamid Khosravanipour, look him up on IMDB.

I'm not really one for tower defense, but found the game fairly easy to jump in and completed the first 60 waves of stage one in 1.5 hours or less.

I almost gave up because it was going on without knowing if I could save and come back, but apparently you can leave after every difficulty completion, just not by clicking surrender? I wasn't much a fan of by assumption of being forced to keep going, but that was not true. Thankfully my buddy told me there was 60 waves to get max upgrades, so I could safely surrender after 60 with not additional achievements to unlock or rewards other than testing myself.

I didn't adjust any of my ships in the shipyard, didn't really grasp how until i spent some time in that menu near the end. I image future missions will require some editing of ships to increase damage output between shields and hull/armor but I don't know.

It is a solid game as far as I can tell, and impressive since it is an indie dev first game even more so, and the price is fair especially in a market that is about exploiting the consumer.

Charming dungeon keeper'sk / tavern game.

I feel like I ripped of the developer getting the key for under a dollar. The game is actually very good. With the character dialogue and interactions for the campaign it flows well. The writing and acting are actually witty as they are well done.

It has not crashed for me and as far as I can tell I have encountered not one bug. It feels like dungeon keeper and a tavern game combined, but with less fleshed out tavern mechanics.

You can build on several levels of the wizard tower you are building your dungeon in but have to unlock the levels through prestige of the local inhabitants and competitors. You will be able to raid other wizard towers, races, groups, who will retaliate based on the level of attacks you have sent there way.

I will say that it feels fairly easy when my dungeon is attacked, like there isn't any variation in the attack code to make it more interesting.

I am maybe half way through or just past it at 8 or so hours. I don't know actually. I've left the game running while doing other things at times. So my hours are inflated.

There is so much more that could be done to flesh this title out even more, but as it stands it is surprisingly good.

Not sure if or about a sandbox mode as I have not tried it.

The game feels complete enough to me at this point, will update on total completion.
