Captures the feeling of the Rollercoaster Tycoon games perfectly and brings it to the current gen.

They've added spyware since i bought this game. Unacceptable. Will not buy from 2K or Firaxis again until they've removed Red Shell from all their software.

edit: Well, they've removed the spyware.

First of all, i'm not really into Star Wars, I like the setting, movies and the games, but i don't really care for the continuity of the "Star Wars Universe". So the fact that the game's protagonist would be "too strong" doesn't bother me at all.

First the good things, it has a nice storyline which is visualized by good looking cutscenes. The port is actually pretty good, it runs on about anything, and besides the simple level design, it looks pretty good and the effects are nice, considering the age of the game. Controls are ported much better than the first title. And (in this case a pro) you can finish the game in under 6 hours (steam says 4.8 for me, but i don't believe that). So you're finished well before it gets too boring.

Besides all that, i think _as a game_ this title has very little to offer. Level design is as linear an uninspired as it can get. There are only 3 level designs, and even in these levels it's the same corridor over and over again. They didn't even bother to hide most of the "crystals" you aquire to upgrade your health and force bar.

Also lacking is the number of different types of enemies, and special animations. For larger enemies it's the same kill animation over and over. For smaller enemies, there are only 2 "special kills" which you can invoke by simple pressing a+x or b+y. For the bosses it's often doing the same thing over and over.

What bothers me most though are the quick-time events. You can totally own a boss, and still get killed instantly when you mis a "press X Now!"-event. Also accidentally falling off an edge is a real possibility.

All that makes it really hard to reccommend this game, especially for the 20 euro they ask for it. If you want a quick Star Wars fix and can get it somewhere cheap, by all means, have fun. But if you want a good Star Wars Brawler, you're out off luck on this one.
