Initially very fun and no real pay to win aspects other than unlocking all champions, which you could grind out most of them with playing. I had gotten to fairly high competive level in just 90 hours with a fun tight community. HOWEVER

Now they have upcoming skins where even dumping tons of cash into it won't get you to a fair level. New players are forced into paying just to get their cards to a decent level. This also levels no way to practice competitive as all cards are locked at level 3.

Was a great game however it has unfortunately now become pay to win instead of pay to get some cosmetics/reduce grind. Can't recommend the game as it's clearly a cash grab before the game dies out.

Updating my review for 1.0: Devs have seemingly given up on the game despite the 1.0 release. Nothing was really updated, they haven't fixed large bugs that have been present for years. The 1.0 release created new bugs and the devs haven't remotely responded about them despite some of them being game breaking (loading game into infinite black screen, half of the map loading).
There is nothing pay to win about the game, especially since the default loadouts now have all the commonly used perks... but they hardly give any advantage and are more play style specific. Overall the outlook on this game is poor at the moment despite the player base increasing by 400% on 1.0 release day. But it's free to try so there's that.

10/10 game does not have microtransactions like payday2

Game has a long standing history of releasing garbage paid DLCs however they kicked it over the top by nerfing aka "rebalancing" old weapons and releasing a new paid TF2/CSGO style system with better weapons. On top of this, this was their "free" reward update after the community achieved grinding millions of objectives. Also they lied about microtransactions.

Free to play. Toss a little money into it if you want to unlock a few more weapons or hats.
