First game i ever bought for myself when it first came out. And the nostalgia keeps up to the quality of the game and still holds up to this day.
As a base builder it is very open for you to do whatever you want. From having open plan everything to having a massive trap room to perpetually throw enemies around.
Playing again, it can come across as a bit slow and some of the pathpicking of the AI can clutter up the screen. Watch 120 military minions get stuck in the doorways when the alarm goes off and then lose attention and loyalty as they get stuck around the decaying corpses of your enemies.
The only other thing I would want to imprve on is the music for the game. Love the style when in the menu, but it doesn't play during the game. Not to mention the continuous drone of having your base at orange alert so that your minions remain equipped with weapons.
Hopefully these things are improved for the sequel(remake) for the game coming out soon!
