Rust is cool. Rust players, with very few exceptions, are a cesspool.

If what you want is a game with a bunch of people being as toxic as possible, perhaps you'll enjoy rust. For me it's a waste of fun mechanics on toxic screeching douche bags. I meet enough douche bags irl, thanks.

Mildly interesting at first, but the machine learning theme is a VERY thin veneer on what feel like flawed puzzle mechanics.

I actually got mad when I realized after spending considerable time trying to think of a way to improve my solution to a puzzle, a gold medal was only possible after buying a 'hardware upgrade'.

Feels pretty weird for a puzzle game to have 'upgrades' that only serve to improve your score. A game mechanic best left on the editing room floor.

That said, the puzzles feel like a very pale imitation of a Zachtronics game. I would suggest saving up for one of those instead of this game.

This game is terrific! Joy in motion. The developers recently released a large update that included new (free!) songs and a campaign mode that taught me things about the game that I didn't know before - like how your hits are scored (approach and follow-through with a bonus for how close to center you hit the box) - and provide interesting new challenges like maximizing or minimizing your hand motion through the course of a song.

The modding community for this game is amazing. They have produced many many unofficial custom tracks, a system that seamlessly loads them into the game, and the tools to create your own custom tracks before the dev team releases an official editor. When the recent patch was released the mods were broken momentarily. I played the game once with the new patch without mods, and I tried updating the mods today and they all work. If you are at all familiar with games on PCs, game updates breaking unofficial mods is completely normal. Updates occur, mods break, modders fix them, and everyone gets back to enjoying themselves.

A new paid DLC music pack was released as well. Apparently a lot of people don't like that they have paid DLC. In that case I suggest not purchasing the DLC. I'm guessing that there are licencing fees involved with bringing in the music, as I've played games that involve music before and that is always the case. Musicians need to eat. Who knew!

Ignore all of the ridiculous recent negative reviews. If you look at them you will find that the authors also think this game is awesome - they're just throwing a childish fit over things they don't understand.

I have spent hundreds of hours with this game before steam release. I love this game.

That feeling when you build your initial electrical system and place the first seed of coal into a boiler which brings the system grinding into motion which will feed itself for the forseeable future...

Your initial attempts of building will turn into glorious tangled monstrosities which 'work' but don't scale well. You will zoom out and marvel that you made it work. You will see the biters destroying your iron mines. You will use napalm to clear forests to make way for your production lines. You will want more, better, now. You will try again.

It may occur to you at some time that maybe you are the bad guy.

10/10 would ravage the natural beauty of the world and destroy the indigenous life forms again.

I purchased this after I was caught by suprise by a check my landlord hadn't cashed. Now I can't imagine NOT using this. I used to just barely scrape by paycheck to paycheck and even some regular bills could take me by suprise. Now I always have the cash set aside for all of my bills and I'm building savings. It has helped me get through a time of changing expenses with my sanity intact. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Update: The above was written two months after starting to use YNAB. Six months later and still going strong. As of this month I'm living on last month's paychecks. Not a dime of my November income will be spent in November. This software has changed my life and I'm not exaggerating. The awareness I've gained directly translates into peace of mind.

What this software will tell you, as long as you enter accurate data, is the truth. If you are doing alright, you will see it and you will be able to take control of your money and apply it to meaningful goals. If you aren't doing so well, it will help you see exactly what your situation is and from there you can determine if you can reduce spending in some areas or if you need to increase your income to make ends meet.

Some folks complain about manual entry of transactions. If you have a smartphone I highly recommend using their free android or iPhone app to enter transactions as they occur. They cloud sync through drop box. It's very slick. You can install the software on any computers you use, once again synced through drop box, so you can have your budget wherever you go.

Whatever your financial situation, I think you owe it to yourself to give it a try. If you don't want to commit to purchasing it they do have a 34 day full feature demo. If you are going to go for it, be sure to check out their materials at www.youneedabudget.com/support to learn about the method the software was built to support. Good luck! Take control!

I played this game all in one sitting to the detriment of my health and sleep schedule. It is beautiful and it is an experience I highly recommend to anyone looking for a good story. I also recommend that you look for a good story.
