This game is outstanding and has not only lived up to the first game but also surpassed it in every possible way. The story was consistently engaging and nailed the feeling of being a epic narrative that the first game lacked. The music is some of the best I've ever heard. The new characters introduced are all likeable and wonderfully written. The world design continues the standard set by the first game to be historically authentic and immersive; walking around Kuttenberg for the first time was such a unique experience. The mechanics, especially the combat, were refined from the first game making the gameplay more consistent and enjoyable. This game allows for much better skill expression compared to the first game in melee fights since they reworked masterstrikes and improved how dodging worked.

In terms of performance and the technical side of things, the game runs really well and I had very few crashes and bugs. There are some quality of life features missing which will hopefully be addressed by future updates. It was alittle annoying needing to reassign gear after certain story missions.

Warhorse have shown here how a sequel should be done. Here's to hoping we do see another chapter.
