Good killer, should honestly have his own game.

Gameplay loop would probably be more interesting in Friday the 13th: The Game, but they kinda blew their chance with unique killers from the get go.

I've barely played this game but I do really enjoy it. That being said, I feel there are a tremendous amounts of missed opportunities I've seen so far, with a pinch of what I think could be improved. I know everything said in here is a tall order, but I personally think it would flesh out the game tenfold.

1) Allies
Allies seem to be an extremely undercooked mechanic in the game and I feel should have a bigger emphasis.
So far certain mysteries give you specified allies and you can even find certain allies out in the wild, but the mechanic itself is very underwhelming.
From what I've seen so far allies basically do next to nothing. You can get them to distract enemies or throw them at the enemy to do one point of damage (and it kind of really sucks).
I kind of hope to see the combat take on a more traditional RPG style to allow allies to become more dynamic characters, as what they are now are very underwhelming.
I feel like the cosmic horror style would greatly benefit from the player character developing a cast of randomized allies they recruit on the streets, so getting allies like "STUDENT F" and them not doing anything sucks hard.

2) Randomized Mysteries
So far the mysteries in this game are all planned and thought out with a variety of endings depending on how you play the game, which is great because some of those stories are very faithful to the material which they are based off of.
However, once you play through a mystery and get the ending, it feels underwhelming when you see it again in the list of mysteries in your next playthrough because you know exactly how it's going down (because a lot of the endings are extremely similar). This too becomes underwhelming when you get the Scissor Lady mystery for the 5th time because you remember all the cool little events that happen in it from the tutorial.
That's why I think there should be a greater emphasis on randomization in the mysteries. Rather than tell a complete story that has closure, the developer should be making a ♥♥♥♥ ton of mystery presets that are randomly mixed and matched when the game starts to create a more randomized rougelite.
These randomized mysteries would of course not be as interesting or in depth as the really fleshed out story mysteries, but they would keep the game a little more interesting rather than having the same mysteries show up as options every single time. These random mysteries could be as simple as "Weird sightings of mysterious robed individuals in the Forest" to "The Monster under the School" with randomized story beats, location choices, names, allies, and enemies.

3) Reason
Reason and Stamina are great mechanics but it's extremely annoying to find Reason replenishing items, as probably intended. I feel like Reason should have more grounded mechanics that make it easier to replenish but with a tradeoff, like going to a location to trade Stamina for Reason (and the library or something) or go to a therapist and replenish Reason for 10% Doom or something.

4) Day/Night Automation System
I feel like a game like this would benefit greatly from a Day/Night system or a schedule. Like, you have to attend classes at certain times or unlock certain school/parent events (like grounded or detention), or if you attend class you get positive bonuses to Reason (and Stamina is depleted or Doom is raised), and for characters like the Yakuza driver or the Photographer, they're on a Job schedule rather than a School schedule and have to go Downtown to do their job. Really capitalize on the RPG elements of the game by allowing you to do basic every day stuff wouldn't hurt either, especially if the Doo mechanic affected actions, like going on a date but Doom is at 85% so the date goes horribly wrong and your date turns into some lovecraftian monster and you have to fight them.

5) Appropriate Enemies based on Doom
This one's simple. The lower the Doom, the less crazy enemies that show up are. Like if you're at 5%, they're just stalkers or creepy Cabal people, or ghosts and the possessed. Doom gets to like 50%, then Rioters and evil monsters become more overt and start to show up. Doom gets closer to 100%, more grotesque and nasty monsters show up.

6) 100% Doom
The apocalypse should start when Doom is at 100% and the Old God awakens. Instead of instantly dying and getting some end screen card, gameplay should continue until you die with evil enemies being like 500% more powerful. In order to keep from this aspect of the game from being a waste, just sprinkle in rewards for surviving as many encounters as possible, like unlocks for future runs.

Again, this is a pretty lengthy list of suggestions but I personally think it would flesh out the game in all the right ways. Whatever the case, if the developer even sees this suggestion, I will enjoy playing whatever content he produces. Thanks for the good time!
