This game reminded me why I used to love single player titles so much.

It’s just pure fun and joy, everything is dosed in perfect proportions, and every element of the game actually makes sense. Even the collectibles - which I rather dislike as general - felt like a nice and compelling addition to the main gameplay loop.

Arkham Asylum may not be my favorite single player title ever, but is definitely super high in my private ranking. I also finished it in only two days which is probably my personal best.

It’s also worth noting that the whole trilogy comes super cheap when on a Steam sale, making it a nice deal even for the game collectors.

The whole game feels like it’s a super fair trade between the classic Hitman freedom of choice - when it comes to approaching different assassinations - and the story that Absolution wants to tell.

Both elements are shining like 47’s head - the gameplay is fun either way you approach the title, and the story smoothly goes along. Some missions are more linear than the other but almost all of them offer different scenarios to be played.

It’s worth mentioning that triggering the Rambo mode is totally valid for those who want to change Hitman into an action game. It just won’t be as rewarding and may feel too easy if not played on the hardest difficulty setting.

All in all, it’s still good old Hitman, and for some (including me) it’s the most enjoyable part in the whole franchise.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 should be actually prescribed as a stress-relief drug both for children and adults.

It’s one of those games that can’t be easily copied just by taking its idea and wrapping it in nice graphics. Maybe that’s why ETS 2 has basically no competition on Steam.

This is my first game with "overwhelmingly positive" reviews that I can't personally recommend. I used to play a lot of fighting games when I was a kid, and apart from the fun of competing against my buddies, I do remember the joy of unlocking new playable characters as a reward for completing different achievements. Do you remember Tekken 3 and unlocking Gon or Doctor Boskonovich? That's what I'm talking about.

I admit I could have done my homework and read about modern fighting game practices, instead of assuming that the character-unlocking system is AT LEAST AS FUN AS 20 F*CKING YEARS AGO. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that the ONLY UNLOCKABLE CHARACTER IN MORTAL KOMBAT X IS SHINNOK AFTER YOU BEAT THE GAME. I'm not even sure you have to beat it as you can skip every fight.

Yes, you read it correctly and I sh*t you not - every combat in the so-called "story mode" can be skipped so the player can proceed to the next couple of absolutely non-engaging cutscenes. If you manage to watch them all, you get about 3, maybe 4 hours of gameplay, and that's it.

If you don't have buddies to play with because you're an adult now, have a wife and kid, and have little time to spare for games, MKX seems like a perfect choice for you, cause after said 3-4 hours the game doesn't have anything to offer anyway. Yeah, I know, there is some "Towers" mode where you can e.g. fight 10 enemies to unlock a skin (LMAO) but it's so boring that I won't even go into details.

Anyways, maybe it's just me being grumpy but after so many years of gaming evolution (and some revolutions in the so-called meantime) and after so many parts of the MK franchise, one could hope to find something revolutionary IN A F*CKING PART TEN of a game. What I have found is that I can buy two DLCs to unlock not all of the characters (LMAO pt 2), and that 3,5 hours of generic cutscenes is now called a "story mode".

While quite generic in terms of story and characters, Divinity: Original Sin is a really solid and enjoyable RPG title.

The developers decided to make some questionable choices, like having two player characters instead of one, but they don’t spoil the gameplay too much.

Divinity really shines when it comes to the player freedom of choice. The player is rarely taken by hand and is free to go almost anywhere from the start. As a result, it’s often possible to omit some steps of a quest and accomplish it faster (or just in a different way).

I also LOVE the fact that there are almost no essential characters - the player can even kill their companions if they decide so. Even though the main goal is obviously saving the world, the player can still make evil choices and murder innocent beings while on a path of achieving that goal.

I grabbed Divinity along with part 2 on some Steam sale - for a price that felt like stealing, considering the fact that both games can easily provide hundreds of hours of pure joy.

I didn't even know it was on Steam until I grabbed it for around 1$ on sale, what I believe is an insane deal.

Civilization III still beats a lot of modern titles when it comes to replayability and the gameplay loop fun-factor. There are also a lot of mods out there so you can easily change your world to e.g. Middle-earth, Warhammer Fantasy, Game of Thrones, or even Star Wars.

I honestly think this is the best purchase I've ever made on Steam.

The game is ok-ish, but seriously - f*ck Ubisoft and their f*cked up practices.
Remember that TC2 will be 6 years old soon, so they will probably close it as well in no time.

I'm not sure how the f*ck I forgot to review Half Life 2 - shame on me.
If you don't know the game yet - shame on you, but the good news is that you have one of the greatest FPS games still to discover and it's almost guaranteed you're gonna have a blast.

The story, the represented world, and the gameplay loop still amaze in 2023. Let's be honest here - HL 2's plot is not a Nobel Prize book material, yet the way the player is engaged in various situations and events is phenomenal. The scenery itself makes you feel the places you happen to appear in.

If you decide to play this gem though, remember one thing - we don't go to Ravenholm.

"Mixed" review of Fallen Earth clearly shows that players nowadays are spoiled brats who want to have everything handed to them on a silver platter ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

I've played this gem a long time ago and just recently found out it's still alive. Unfortunately, my character was deleted in the meantime but I was more than happy to start a new adventure. Especially considering the fact that there are no other MMOs set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland (I'm not counting Fallout 76 cause as much as I love it, it's not an MMO at all).

Perks:

• There is no meta - a lot of valid ways to play

• Non-combat skills (mining, scavenging, etc.) that are progressed by using them
  
• Nearly everything is craftable
  
• Slow but rewarding progression
  
• Ranged and melee dual wielding

• Proper big wasteland
  
• It's actually truly free to play - with no cash shop or microtransactions
