I liked a lot of the new things that Rockstar tried in this game, it really felt like a generational leap forwards compared to the 3D-universe titles, but this did come at the expense of a lot of the more varied content that games on a more mature platform/engine, like San Andreas, were able to provide. Consequently, it's more narrowly focused on the story with fewer side-missions and less customisation options, but for what it tries to do in terms of storytelling, and what it achieves by the introduction of euphoria physics and more interesting AI, it's a worthy instalment in the series.
