Overrated in my opinion. The moment-to-moment gameplay is not great and a bit clunky (warrior/barb main) and ACT 3 was painfully slow even tho my build was one shotting most stuff... Did campaign, swapped to internet build, realised it's still slow and clunky even tho it's "best in slot build" that "clears whole screen" and decided to stop playing :/ Game has potential but it's VERY Overrated, feels like a treadmill. My friends are hooked an 200+hr deep, I look at their gameplay and it's the same dungeon + the same speed of clear I had on lv30 with my own build.... Besides that the game doesn't really introduce anything 'new', is unbalanced, gives less than ideal quantity of drops and has some mobs that have annoying after-death effects. Overall it could be fixed but seeing how positive everyone is about the game, I don't think it will get fixed.

Most people point out how cool bosses are, but to me they were not memorable and the fights lacked any depth mechanics other than slight telegraphed attacks. Coming from Lost Ark, these were tutorial level and literally had nothing cool to offer :(

I really wanted to like the game and might try it again at a later time.

Apex is a good game BUT the servers are very often laggy and desynced, and if you hit diamond+ ranks you get matched against probably 50% cheaters in your game, unplayable lmao

This game definitely deserves "VERY POSITIVE" and not MIxed reivews.

The biggest downside is that it's not a finished product and can be completed for 6-8hours.

+ The last boss was challenging even at max level for the beta story (20) //played as "barbarian"
+ The abilities have interesting combos
+ Good design and graphics
+ Very awesome soundtrack
+ Interesting enemies
+ Good level design
+ A lot of MEMORABLE moments from cutscenes/story

- Little bit clunky and a bit of delay after using abilities like shout or the spinning axe
- Voice acting is not ideal at some parts (certain not-so-interesting lines cannot be skipped)
- Unfinished, lvl20 cap (obvisouly)
+- Lots of "inspiration" from diablo 3 (not necessary a bad thing tbh)

Overall it's an amazing ARPG game, good story, nice graphics, pretty smooth~ish gameplay, good abilities and fun combat. Sadly it's only ACT 1 and not finished. Everything else about this game was really good and it's better than a lot of other "indie" ARPGs that I've played (unlike van helsing and other LIDL games, this feels like a real product and has some level of polish!)

BUY IT. Play it for 10 hours and enjoy it. Just don't expect 100hr+ gameplay yet~
