game is seemingly broken every other day, barely any mod support, bugs, etc. maybe in five years it will be better.

TLDR: This game made me contemplate a single choice for 45 minutes.

In all honesty, I wasn't sure how much I was gonna like this game. I went in 90% blind (I knew basic characters and the meta nature of the game), but I didn't realize how good this game was gonna be. This is one of two games that have moved me to tears, and has convinced me that games are one of the best art mediums out there.

The game really puts you inside the story. Whether you want to be there or not, you're faced with the task of saving the world. Because of the personalization and connectivity, you really become attached to certain characters. Not only that, but you have one shot. So make it count.

The end of the game's story is one of the most difficult choices I have had to make. Ultimately I was able to see each option and the consequences, as the game kinda screwed up on me. However, this game HAS to be played at least twice. Maybe three times.

Music and atmosphere were great, art was beautiful, and the game feels alive. I recommend this game to anyone who loves storytelling and metafiction.

Honestly one of the best RPG games ever created. Truly in-depth story telling, dozens of options and paths to take, and the soundtrack. One of the best soundtracks I've ever heard in a game. Every tune is memorable & Toby uses leitmotifs perfectly. Now, it's a little sappy and the fanbase used to be (and some still are) god awful. But if you enjoy stories, character development, and music, then this game is great. Oh, don't forget about the art & level design. The game itself is really gorgeous.
