I listened to ”Gucci Gang” by Miami, Florida based Cuban-American rapper Lil Pump. I must say, as an individual who has no fondness in his heart for the music known to the youth as ”hip-hop” or ”rap”, I discovered distinct creativity in the lyric ”lil pump still sell that meth”. Lil Pump’s ”flow” and ”bars” reveal a specific style and quality not found in rappers until Pump’s first song was released to Soundcloud in 2016. I have not found such quality in rappers such as Kanye West or Kendrick Lamar. Pump, however, possesses certain talent, but lacks the widespread popularity—an underdog in the ”rap game”.
