Would love to give this game a good rating as it's a classic from my childhood, but this port is so poorly optimized that it's unplayable. The community discussion is full of people having technical problems unable to play for various reasons. If you have your console version, stick with that.

A wonderfully made and extremely challenging game. Great music. Great level design. It's just really fantastic. It took me just over 6 hours to get through the two chapters that are currently available, but maybe I'm just awful (a highly likely possibility). It should be noted that there are only two chapters currently in the game, but more are coming, and what is there is well worth the asking price.

Please wait to purchase this game. In it's current state, it's practically unplayable. The matchmaking does not work, and I've been having a "fun" bug where my game will slow down the longer I play. The slowdown happens after about a minute or so of playtime regardless of settings and it's as if the game is running in slow motion. My computer can absolutely handle the game since I played in the beta on high settings with no problems at all. I'll update this review if/when the game is fixed. DO NOT BUY THIS NOW! It's not even close to being done.

EDIT: It's pretty good now that it works and has more characters. Get it if you like Street Fighter.

I don't completely understand all of the negative reviews on this one. This is the first CoD game I've ever actually owned myself. It's no masterpiece of gaming, but it's fun and the controls are solid. For all of the reviews that are upset about the poor optimization, I understand. If you can't even play a game properly due to technical issues, it can be pretty frustrating. But the game itself is pretty fun. Zombie mode is fun, but weirdly complicated. Something that would be enjoyable to figure out with friends. The multiplayer is standard CoD fare. You should know by now if that's your cup of tea. Campaign is fairly enjoyable. I do recommend this game, but it kind of depends on what you are looking for in a game. If you really just want to shoot people in a game with well done fluid controls, this game is great. The new cyber-soldier type abilities are interesting and fun. If you like CoD, get it. If you don't, don't.

This game is brilliant because even when you are fully aware that it's just a cardboard cut out of a smiling stump, you still nearly ♥♥♥♥ yourself. It's all about messing with your expectations and it does a great job. It also gets really disturbing as you get further in. Be patient, because it takes a little while, but it's worth it.

Do you like space? Do you like simulation games? This game is both of those things. It's in space. It's a simulation game. It's got aliens. It's real good. I mean, I like it. But for serious. Startopia is a space station management game. You must keep the station running well and keep the aliens who live there happy. There are several different species of aliens that all have specific needs and professions. For example, the Greys are natural doctors, the big bulky brown guys are best at security, and the half naked angel people are some sort of consort service. It's a very odd game, but it's a lot of fun. The story missions are interesting and a great way to learn how to play. And at the time of this writing, it's like $1.75. Go git it.

If you are going to play this game by yourself, skip it. If you are looking for a great game to play with a group of friends, get this immediately. The controls are simple, the gameplay is fast and intense, the graphics style and the music fit the game perfectly, and it's just a whole lot of fun. I've read that the online doesn't work very well and that the controller support is somewhat limited, so just make sure you have a couple xbox controllers on hand.

Me and my friends were looking for some good games to play together, when I told them about Divekick. I showed them the trailer and even though they were mostly unimpressed, I insisted that it was supposed to be good. I bought it the other day and it turns out my friends were right on this one. The jokes are all fighting game community in jokes that even if you get them, just aren't funny. And the gameplay is only fun for a round or two before it gets old. If you're looking for a good game to play with your friends, I'd say skip this one. Maybe try Nidhogg, which is wonderful and better than this in almost every way.

HOT ♥♥♥♥♥ FROM HELL THIS GAME IS FANTASTIC! It has very quickly become one of my favorite games that I have ever played. Is it linear in terms of gameplay? Yep, BUT it's story is one of the most feel inducing stories I have played in a long time. I recently have had a problem finishing games. I tend to get bored after playing for 2 hours or so and stop. I played through this whole game in ONE SITTING from start to finish. That's how much the story hooked me. Didn't think you'd find a fantastic and thought provoking story in a military 3rd person cover shooter now did ya?

It's free, wonderful, and full of hats. Why don't you already have it?
