The only game franchise to simultaneously be kino AND ludo.

In a world where John Wick, Hardcore Henry, Scarface, and Point Break all share the same universe, a crime syndicate led by a possibly Swedish man named Bain go on a quest to deprive the world of fusion power, cook up copius amounts of meth, rig political elections, steal nuclear warheads, and remove packages of cocaine through the anuses of goats.

Payday 2 has gone through so many changes over its lifespan, and may have jumped the shark to a point of no return, but it still maintains one core element: fun and addictive co-operative gameplay. No other co-op shooter has the extent of customization that Payday 2 has. Weapons, cosmetic masks, characters, skills; your entire playstyle has limitless possibilities. While stealth is a forgettable pain in the ass that isn't worth it, going loud remains a fun way to spend 30 or 40 minutes with your friends. Granted, if one of you doesn't crash.

But even behind the technical bugs, aging visuals, and some questionable developer decisions, Payday 2 still maintains a dedicated following. They have their shortcomings, but Overkill Software does their best to interact with the community on a personal level that few developers bother with.

Oh and the music is amazing. Simon Viklund can do no wrong.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Menace was the most disappointing thing since my son. I mean, how much more could you possibly ♥♥♥♥ up the entire backstory to Metal Gear? And while my son eventually hanged himself in the bathroom of a gas station, the unfortunate reality of the Metal Gear prequels is that they'll be around. Forever. They will never go away. They can never be undone. And if you're someone under the age of like, 20, who says his least favorite game of the series was Sons of Liberty because it was "the most boring-est one", then I suggest you shut this review off right now, before I carefully explain to you how much of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot you are.

I will admit that I have a weird sort of soft spot for Call of Duty. It's an absurdly simple franchise that never changes, but it never tries to appeal outside its target demographic. And hey, Black Ops 2 was surprisingly decent. So Ghosts could've been good, right?

The key word here is "could".

Ghosts is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ trainwreck. The campaign is awful, 4 hours long, and poorly written to the point where we've finally reached the stage where the villains literally are faceless brown people. The multiplayer is broken to hell and back with its spawn points and god-awful netcode. The lag compensation that hampers a player's experience is amped up to a degree in which it's never been in the Call of Duty franchise.

Oh, and the porting job. This is one of the absolute worst PC ports of all time. It doesn't look good, it runs like garbage on any setup, and it's filled to the brim with micro-stuttering and frame skipping. If you want to jump through the billion hoops this game requires to achieve a smooth gameplay experience, all you will get yourself is a drab and boring rehash. Everything Treyarch attempted to freshen up the series, Nu-Infinity Ward retracted. Stay far away from this.
