Yep! You get cards for any steam game (that has them at least) by just playing them. There's a catch though.... there's a certain number for a complete "set" to turn in for a badge, and you can only get half that number from just playing :/ You have to buy additional ones from the marketplace. I've done that some - they're pretty cheap for games usually, anywhere from 7-12 cents.
