The OG Modern Warfare was the trend settler that defined First Person Shooters throughtout 2007 to 2013 (when the modern-day FPS genre collapsed). While today is a rather simple yet intense shoot'em up with simple characters and rather boring locales, its gameplay's still tight and the battles are still impressive. Unlike its successors, the first Modern Warfare has a more gritty tone and less "Action Hero" moments that would dominate MW2 and MW3.

The Multiplayer is rather simple (and full of hackers), imagine a Call of Duty multiplayer without prestige, microtransactions, dumb skins, specialists, and crazy killstreaks. However, It is hard to have a "normal" multiplayer match these days.

Defiance is a simple arcade-y online open-world third person shooter set in a post-apocaliptic San Francisco.

The gameplay is fast-paced with a good selection of weapon types, special abilities (Cloak, Speed, Overcharge and Decoy) and enemy types. While on the world, random events can activate such as a bandit roadblocks, ambushes and zombie infectations. However, they activate too often and can be very repetitive.

The game's big thing are the Arkfalls; wave-based events that encompases a part of the map where you fight high-level enemies which almost always attract players.

The game looks old, being made on a 32-bit engine and for seventh generation consoles, so don't expect Crysis or Battlefield 3-level graphics.

Content-wise, the game has lot of content such as post-story missions, co-op missions, co-op arenas and PvP but the game can be kind of laggy at times and competitively unbalanced.

Call of Duty 2 is the sequel to 2003's Call of Duty, developed by Infinity Ward as something of a mid-generation game in the transition of Pre-HD to HD Games (2005 - 2006)

Like the first game, it's a World War II Shooter where the player takes control of a American Corporal, A British Sergeant and a Russian Conscript.
The Graphics and sound design have improved considerably, with the game no longer looking stale and cartoony with the game as a whole feeling better designed with more emphasis on constant action and pushing the enemy to advance, this is thanks to two important changes from the original game.

The first one; Regenerating Health, you recover health automatically a few seconds after getting damaged rather than picking up Health Items on the map, this makes the game more forgiving as getting killed because of a single mistake was common problem in the original game, specially on the harder difficulties.

The second; Enemies constantly respawn during big battles, forcing the player to constantly push back and advance.

These two things change the pacing of the game, and the with the change in pacing comes changes in the level design. The level design is openly enough to allow multiple flanking routes and a higher amount of enemies on-screen. However, unlike the original game's more varied missions, Call of Duty 2 mostly focuses on two types of missions; Big Battles and Last Stands.

* In Big Battles; You and a number of constantly respawning allies (like 5 or 7) fight constantly respawning enemies while advancing through the map, sometimes you are given multiple objetives at the same time which you can tackle in the order you want which mostly involve capturing a building with respawning enemies.

* In Last Stands; Similar to the original game's Pegasus Bridge and Parlov House, You and a number of constantly respawning allies must survive waves of enemy assaults, which sometime include tanks, armored vehicles and mortar barrages, and you have to avoid getting overwhelmed.

This makes the game more exhausting in comparison to the first game but no less fun with its campaign lasting from 4 to 6 hours on Normal Difficulty. The game is fun and the entry that cemented Call of Duty as a powerful franchise and I fully recommend it to anyone that liked the first game or World War II Shooters in general.

Outdated and unfair, but fun and engaging.

A tactical first person shooter with multiple teams management where you can get killed with two direct shots with no health regeneration and permament death for fallen operatives.

Enemy behavior and spawn points are randomized, this coupled with your AI teammates blindspots and lack of response to enemy attacks can make some sessions end quickly, so there's a lot of trial-and-error involved in missions that require you to deactive bombs or rescue hostages.

However, this is one of the last pure Tactical Shooters before the World War II and Halo craze so I highly recommend to tactical shooter fans.

Call of Duty is a classic World War II First Person shooter developed by Infinity Ward after a lot of their ideas for Medal of Honor: Allied Assault were denied by EA's management in 2001. Being developed on the Quake 3 Engine, Call of Duty's focus, unlike most shooters of the late-90s & early-2000s, was on cinematic action with the player being accompained by friendly NPCs giving cover and support fire in the battlefields of World War II from the point of view of a American private, a British special operative and a Russian concript.

Pros
> The Cinematic Action can be impressive.
> The different settings and battles presented in the campaign prevent the game from being repetitive.
> Tight controls and gunplay.
> The Ending, while short, can be tearjerking.

Cons
> Some unfair and other times downright infuriating level design, specially during the later levels on Hardened and Veteran.
> Your AI allies can be very incompetent and sometimes downright annoying.
> The lack of temporaly invincibility after recieving damage can lead to some frustraiting deaths where one doesn't have a chance to fight back when caught off-guard.
> The campaign have some annoying AI bugs like Allies getting stuck or not advancing.

Red Faction II is the sequel of the cult-classic Red Faction. however, if you are a fan of Red Faction, you most likely will not enjoy Red Faction II. in comparison, Red Faction 2 is a more simpler game, focused more on Non-stopping Action unlike the first game, the levels are more linear and the Geo-Mod features are mostly sacrificed because of the linearity of the levels, Online Multiplayer is gone and is replaced with Bot Match, the graphics are somewhat updated (if you managed to fix the 800x640 resolution issue) with better character models and locations.
The Story is set on Earth five years after the events of the first game, the Nano Technology created by Alex Capek was taken to Earth and was stolen by a coalition of nations called the Commonwealth, led by a facist dictator called Chancellor Sopot and with it, he created Nano-Enhanced super Soldiers. Alias (The Player) and the rest of the Super soldiers are eventually betrayed by Sopot because of their potential and free will, causing the surviving soldiers to ally themselves with a Rebel group inspired by the Red Faction to take down Sopot.

Pros
- The New Weapons
- Jason Staham as Shrike
- Entretaining at best

Cons
- Characters in Bot Match lack moving strafing animations
- Short, 3 to 5 hours long
- Annoyingly-Hard Boss battles
- Compatibility Issues regarding resolutions
- Terrible Plot Twist in mid game
- The use of the Nano Technology is the only plot device that connects the Story to the first game.

Trivia
-Multiple endings depending how many heroic bonus missions you completed or how many civilians you killed

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is very good and interesting WRPG, however the game has its share of flaws

The Good
- One of the darkest Star Wars Stories in the Legends Universe.
- Good and Interesting characters.
- Good Gameplay mechanics based on Round Combat.
- A decent Challenge for most of the game.
- Interesting locales

The Bad
- The Pace of the Story can feel painfully quick at times.
- Some Sidequest can be extremely Hard or boring.
- To many Companions, so little time to use them all and know them.
- Some characters like Mission or T3-M4 are somewhat useless.
- The success or fail of Persuading is dependent on a (metaphorical) roll of dice.

Final Score: 7/10 "Good"

Well, Far Cry is a cheater. however, a cheater can only be beaten by another cheater, that is the mentality of this game, you have to lure your enemies one by one and one by one you kill them, the AI is paranoic, meaning that slightest movement can alert you enemies and you can be killed with only 3 to 5 hits making this a game where you don't have get hurt at any cost, that's for players to avoid frontal assaults on enemy camps/outpost.
The story is a little basic, you are an Ex-Seal trapped in island full of mercenaries and monsters where you have to rescue a American Girl captured inside.

Pros
>Excellent Gameplay
>Decent Stealth Mechanics

Cons
>Frecuent Instant Kills
>Some forced Firefights
>weak Multiplayer
>no manual Save Games

Went i brought this game, i was expecting a fair challenge, but i was dissapointed and annoyed.

The Game is full of annoying instant Kills, it doenst have a checkpoint system and looks horrible.
The opening starts very slow as you start only using the handgun for atmost three hours in the game and later instead of getting better, it get worse, some weapons can take 30% of your life with one hit and the Railgun can kill you instanly, the worse thing is when the enemy spot you, they immediately shoots you non-stop.
The Railgun Guys are hard to kill and they shoot you with extreme accuracy with an instant kill shot.
It pretty obvious that this game dint have the correct Testing, especially in the final levels against the Mercs as the RailGun Mercs are sometimes placed in places were they arent supposed to spot you but they do, ending in your death with an very accurate shot in your head.

If you want to die a lot, this is your game.

Pros
> Tons of Weapons

Cons
>Frecuent Instant Kills
>Outdated Graphics
>No autosave & checkpoint system
>Weak Multiplayer
>The Geo engine is atmost unused

Star Wars Battlefront II is the sequel to the highly successfull Star Wars Battlefront developed by Pandemic Studios and released in 2004. While the concept is similar to DICE's Battlefield series, the gameplay is more casual and thus, less skill-based, with a lot of emphasis on Third-person shooting (it can be played on First-person) and rolling to avoid enemy fire and proyectiles. Due to the game being released after Episode III came out, the game's content is mostly based from that movie in terms of new maps and story with a clear lack of EU-based maps unlike Battlefront I which can be disappointing.

A new addition to the game is Space Battle in which players spawn in their respective side's commands ship and must use fighters, bombers and transports to rack up points by destroying enemy fighter and/or destroying the opposite side's command ship's appendages.

Unfortunately, the game have optimization issues that may cause crashes or permanent Framerate drops on newer computers, especially on Windows 7.

Pros
> Star Wars as its finests.
> Both Third and First person mode.
> Galactic Conquest, a good time killer.
> Instant Action: A very customizable botmatch with several gamemodes.
> Very moddeable, allowing for new community-made maps and conversions.

Cons
> Annoying and/or stupid AI from the computer-controlled units.
> The game doesn't run smoothly as Battlefront I
> The new maps feel less creative than Battlefront I
> Galactic Conquest lacks some needed depth to make it less stale.
