Still worth loading up after all these years. Great for casual family time as my daughter (9) plays it too. For some reason this has been the easist game to teach her about teamwork and goal setting... even compared to things like board games. Got her to understand helping her team progress through the stages and making it to the safehouse while enjoying the main characters, their personalities, and overcoming the games challenges.

Advanced players would enjoy the tougher modes like realism or perhaps survival, but offline campaign mode by itself has proved worth it with tons of replayability and seamless transition from the first installment. Multiplayer allows playing as special infected as opposed to humans vs humans in a deathmatch style.
