Early Access Review
Mental stimulation and relaxation in one game??? Playing solo and with a friend are equally great, we still boot this up from time to time. Hilarious, chill, epic boss fights, and regular updates from a cool creator, just stop reading and get the game already you won't regret it.

Don't let the "Mostly Negative" reviews discourage you, this is still a good game. The game however is not in the same state as Vermintide 2, a game that was developed over years to reach the pinnacle that it resides at today.

Fatshark made a lot of promises because they wanted the same incredible game that we all want to play. To put it simply, game development takes a painfully long time. Seeking out and fixing bugs without breaking other things isn't always an overnight or weekly fix, (not to mention potential roadblock and approval process when dealing with certain parts of the team) and yet one of the most upvoted Dissatisfied reviews is angry for not receiving "transparency" after a week. THIS IS A VERY UNREALISTIC EXPECTATION.

Need I remind you all that Darktide released to the steam storefront briefly before the Christmas holiday began. The FatShark devs likely crunched incredibly hard and didn't sleep to get the game in a playable state. The game released with bugs and disconnection issues that have since been largely improved. Don't they deserve a break? They've been working on this game for years, likely double the time we've even known of it's existence and were excited to share with us what they've been working on. Not to mention whether releasing it "early" was their decision at all, this is where we are now.

With the immense scale and detail that encompasses each map we play on, and can complete (most of the time) takes A LOT of time to make. Things like the crafting system can come later on as more content is added, the hub world doesn't need to be incredibly magnificent because it isn't where most of the gameplay happens. Let them place the focus where they feel it's best and be patient please... Buying cosmetics not only puts food on their tables but ensures that they can keep developing the game they love for people that are still playing it. Don't expect the game to be improved at the pace you want or what was promised because that can't always happen. And please, remain respectful.

If you've never tried it, you've got nothing to lose but a missed opportunity to play one of the greatest games you'll ever find. Not to mention it's free and poppin' mad years after it's release. Team Fortress 2 has a charm you won't find anywhere else that you'll always have a itch to run back to.

Play it! :D

So many things to do! If you like creating, roleplaying, hanging with friends or making new ones--even sitting in a chair and doing nothing...

Pick this game up. It's an absolute must have!

Game is pretty fun, easy to jump into matches with interesting characters.

Resembles Overwatch yes, but with Moba like items to buy and similar features to Smite (as it's made by the same team HiRez) such as the way you join lobbies and such.

A few bugs, such as the refer a friend and party menu, and being disconnected midgame. Nothing too terrible though because you can join back in.

Something for everyone to try at least once.
TL;DR: This game is amazing and has something for everyone, quite easy to run and not hard to pick up on. There's a unique god with your name on him/her to jump into the intense nitty-gritty combat that'll have you on the edge of your seat, pulling out your hair, or throwing your hands up and kicking up your feet in the glory of one badass MOBA.

As someone who used to live the League of Legends life, I was introduced to Smite. Over time, I drifted away from MOBA's completely and was drawn towards other things for awhile.

But something about Smite kept ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tugging at me. I'd see it being played, or even hear it brought up and I'll start thinking, "I kinda want to play that again sometime.." And before I knew it, I was playing it again. I've tried Dota 2, and it, nor does League of Legends draw me back the way Smite does.

It seems to just have a little bit of something for everyone. The usual MOBA lane tactics with an item shop (BUT without having to stress about "last hitting" because you get gold regardless. Last hits grant bonus coinage if you like that sort of thing ;P) While theres an immersive aspect of being some amazing, real-lore, unique GOD and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ feeling like one! Ahhh cringe..

In a few other aspects (which there are many BELIEVE ME) I played the game before it was on steam. Since then, it has gotten easier to run, a more vast community and yet still the same intense combat. For someone with a Dell laptop for a gaming PC and wifi, the struggle of slow load times lives on. But not with Smite!

11/10 Would Gank! Gank! Gank! Gank! Gank! Gank! Gank! Gank! Gank! Gank! Gank! Gank! Gank middle lane! again.
