An amazing sequel to the story and gameplay of Shadow of Mordor, albeit quite repetitive.
Unfortunately, although I played this game to death and enjoyed it thourougly, I couldn't play for more than 2 hours at a time due to the fact the missions are limited to clearing camps, overtaking fortresses, or killing a certain type of guard to lure a warchief out. There were also supplementary missions, such as the Ithilidin, Shelob Memories, or Gondorian Artifacts that provided a sort of collectionish aspect to the game. The game shines in it's narrative, appreciation for lore, and mechanics. Starting with narrative -- The story was enjoyable although very cliche, and the character development was actually very well done. I could also say that this is probably one of the funniest games i've ever played, as the RNG that goes into creating the orcs gets ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hilarious at times. Since the game takes place in Middle-Earth, the game does a fantastic paying homage to the lore of J.R.R. Tolkien's original work with detailed descriptions of certain artifacts and small anecdotes that provide the player an overall better knowledge of the world they play in. I previously mentioned that gameplay begins to become repetitive, but the base mechanics of this game are FANTASTIC. Talion has a myriad of abilites, such as turning enemies to fight for you mid-battle, from draining them of their life essence, effectively making you stronger while killing them, and using different "Wraith" abilities to dominate your opponents.

8/10

Finally, if you are looking at this game, buy it. If you're on the fence, wait for a sale. I bought this game on sale but I believe its worth the full $60 USD.

Early Access Review
This game really is great, note to the developer: you clearly know how to make games, but this could use a little more effort. The graphics are average, and it is kind of slow. But, I understand that it has to be slow because then the game would take about 3 minutes. The game is also a bit repetetive and complicated, like in the elderly man part; the camera was annoying and it was hard to find the pattern between the cars. However, I genuinely enjoyed this game when I figured everything out, the message was clear, and the young boy part was especially fun. If you are continuing to make games, KEEP GOING, but again, more effort.
