I'm going to make this one short.

Overall a pretty good game, semi-addicting, mostly because of the achievements. Now, also the reason I will not recommend this game: The achievements. I have a principle: I don't recommend games, no matter how good they are, if they have achievements that you only can obtain if you purchase the DLC.
It doesn't mean you can't have achievements for DLC. Look at other developers: Only if you purchased the DLC the corresponding achievements will get added to the base game track so you can complete them.

Again, I recommend this game as a whole, it's great. But I will not change the Thumbs Down until Shiro Games does it right with their achievements. You should not, under any circumstances, need to pay for the DLC only to get 100% achievements completion.

Sorry guys. Don't hate me for this.

CS:GO was a good game. Until the cancer hit. The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Battle Royale cancer. I am so fed up with this hype. Valve's money greedy actions lately have worsened more and more (see Artifact's Pay2Pay model). I am seeing myself forced to boycot everything Valve's thinking about making easy and fast money with. So screw you Valve moneypigs, one less p(l)ayer for you.

P.S.: Oh, and go right ahead and increase the Steam Market shares on your side aswell. I won't give a little fart since I won't be using it anymore. Yes. Yes.

Edit 2023: Counter Strike 2 finally killed Danger Zone. God bless. Changing this to Recommended. lol It is that easy

Excellent Singleplayer Mode, Multiplayer already nearly dead

First off, I really enjoyed this game. It took me roughly 50 hours to get all achievements and for now, I'm done with it and will start playing something else. But this won't stop me from coming back in some time: Yu-Gi-Oh! is my favourite card game (I am a bit biased from my days as a young boy) and it features nearly every card that exists (as of 2018).

I totally ignore the fact that even though Multiplayer is 'dead' and probably also further (big) updates won't happen anymore, the DLC are still always at full price, and way too overpriced in my opinion. 'Dead' because Multiplayer matchmaking picks your oppponent with only Decks similar to yours. Ranked also takes your Ranked Points in account. All in all you have to wait several dozens of minutes to get a match, and this waiting time is much much longer than it used to be when the game was only a few weeks old.

To the Pros:

  • Excellent Singleplayer experience. You can replay every important Duel from the anime series starting from Duel Monsters to ZEXAL with the correct decks (which have sometimes some minor changes, for gameplay reasons). The story gets told (in summary) in Visual Novel style.

  • Earn your cards! This was one of the main reasons I bought this game (for full price!): You have to earn those cards if you want them. Duel for Points and buy card packs to create your deck or unlock Starter / History Decks by winning versus the deck owner in the Campaign Mode.

  • Gameplay settings for Pros: Select if you want prompts asking you when to Chain, Counter, etc. This feature really enhances the flow of the game.

  • Fair achievements for some additional game goals for even more motivation throughout your sessions!

There are some minor to medium flaws, though:
  • The game crashes once every few hours during Singleplayer matches. Regarding the relatively short Single Mode match length, I, of course, was pissed when it happened, but the game restarts quickly.

  • One of the most annoying things in the game is the Card Shop. You can always only buy 8 cards. Opening one pack takes 10 seconds. That makes 48 cards per minute. You can already guess what the problem is: You need 3 Ultra Rare Cards for your deck? Be prepared to open up card packs, all separately, for 15 minutes straight. It's just so boring and could be easily solved by just selecting the number of packs you want to buy and open them all simultaneously, sorting them in a list.

  • The game starts to flicker if you fiddle around too much in the video settings. Some players reported that the flickering continues throughout their whole play session, which would make the game unplayble. I can confirm the screen flickering, but after a while the game behaves normally again. I am running on a 64bit Windows 10 desktop PC. Also tested on my 64bit Windows 8.1 laptop, for the same result.

Overall I really recommend this game, even though I don't believe in revival of the Multiplayer. If you like Yu-Gi-Oh!, it's probably worth the full price, if you just want a cool, balanced TCG you won't be disappointed if you buy it during sale.

No-skill. Rush play. Pay-to-win.

What else is to say? You just have to spend 10 bucks and you can win easily. It's mostly anyway just one (ONE!!!) card that instantly tells if you win or not. Everyone plays either storm decks (no cost cards that instantly attack the face/leader) or turtle to turn 8 where they play one card that practically marks their victory.

The game has beautiful card arts and looks and feels good, but in the end it's the mechanics that count. Some legendary (super rare) cards literally have everything. There are moments where you or the enemy plays one card in early or mid game and the opponent or you respectively can just surrender. No counterplays, no thinking. Just praying for those few cards to pop up. People said the developer "destroyed" a good game with the updates, but I played 40 hours in this version (Dawnbreak/Nightedge) of the game. And there just one thing to tell about it:

It's utter trash.

So don't waste your precious lifetime playing this if you don't plan to spend 10 bucks on a winning deck that actually is a no-brainer (because all winning decks are). And even though you get lots of cards for free as a starter, the chance to get a (yes, a; singular) good card is close to 0. In 40 hours I could have learned a lot of JavaScript. Instead I learned again why F2P games have such a bad reputation. ♥♥♥♥ this ♥♥♥♥.

Short but decent game. Good for playing during Q-times or while waiting for downloads.

That being said you can play this game even without waiting for something in the background, but it is really short and fun will be over much sooner than you think. This is because the main problem I had with this game are the achievements. I wouldn't have bought such a game if it did not have achievements, simply because I need some kind of additional progression and reward system when playing this genre (speaking of genre, it's a mix between strategy and gem-puzzle, which is entertaining at first).

To get every single achievement you don't even have to play through the entire game: You don't have to complete every level, you don't need to collect every piece of clothing. The only "difficult" achievements, making a X-chain of gems aren't even that difficult, since you can come back to easier levels later on when you leveled up your characters, making it literally impossible for the monsters there to kill you, giving you all the time you need to smartly put gems with the "luck" skill together for the said X-chain.

Generally, I would recommend this game, since the 6 hours I spent playing it during Q-times were more entertaining than sitting in the main menu and looking at my different heroes. But if you're looking for a challenge, don't try this game.

Thanks for reading!

Yes, I do recommend, but please devs, please keep on with this game! Fix bugs, implement a better AI and then start adding new functions or buildings. This is going to be a great game if you do so!

RIP The Culling.

Used to be a game with potential, but instead of making the game better with updates they just monetized it even more and never listened to the community. Don't buy.

EDIT (25.09.2018)

I paid 20 bucks for this ♥♥♥♥ back a while. And now they pull crap like this off? Yeah right...

This is NOT a game!
Now to my opinion:
Do I recommend this as a game? - Hell no.
Do I recommend this as a tool? - Oh yes.

So this "game" is pretty much broken. There are 100 levels, but only the first loads correctly. There are +20 weapons, but only 1 of them is useful. And if you dont ragequit in the first 10 minutes of "game"play, you will find out that this is "game" is just another easy achievement grinder.

Short and pretty dark sequel of "The Room". In this game there are 6 rooms with all a different theme, whereas the "story" is kept being told via little notes, found in different locations. I felt like this game was even shorter than the prequel, but as fantastic aswell. Bought on sale, you can't do anything wrong. For the price of a coke, you get 2-3 hours of super good looking puzzle / mystery. I really recommend this game, and surely I hope for "The Room 3" coming to PC soon!

♥♥♥ Guys who thumb down this review are either 5000hours players or the devs themselves. (lol) Don´t mind the rating. I know, the truth is always hard to accept. ♥♥♥

What you might like:
♦ Do you hate this damn stupid "realistic" recoil? What is recoil anyway? This game hasn´t any!

♦ Speaking of weapons: You won´t have to aim. Never. Why is aiming implemented? I dunno. Maybe for immersion. Yes, that´s probably it.

♦ If you sacrifice 50HP then you get faster than your (and others) internet connection allows! What a shame if they won´t kill you... maybe because they can´t then!

♦ Why standing still when firing? When hip-fireing everybody likes to shake his tights! No more lame standing: Get ready for some really funny run´n´gun, spray-and-pray moves!

♦Why taking the time using the HRV? The enemy could be anywhere! The tactic is simple: Preshooting! Don´t give a little f♥ck about your enemies´ location: JUST SHOOT IT! MAKE YOUR KILLS COME TRUE! NOTHING IS UNHITTABLE!*
*Except in some of the listed circumstances above and elsewhere.

♦Why bother buying an Insult Simulator or start a fight with your family members? All you need is a full server with 1 to 2 players who can actually use their keyboard... to enter something called "words"! (°o°)

♦You want to get rid of those stupid people who "are something" in real life? Suckers who care about family and work (and mostly still school probably...)? Screw that, because BL:R can played as a meet-and-greet "IQ under 70"-simulator aswell!

This list will be updated once a year, easy to remember, because BL:R gets an update once a year, too!

If you want to waste your time with totally mature 14 y.o.´s and 5000 hours no-life-players then this is the game for you!

I would recommend buying it on s- oh wait it´s FTP. Well, that´s explains a lot.
