I played the first game but this one is as good as the first but better in some ways. They really kept the spirit of the first installment and built on that. Sure, the story is not really that good nor are the voice actors, but the game itself is absolutely addicting. It is short though (roughly 12 hours of content), even when trying to get all achievements (some are a bit harder, but all of them are totally doable!) so you might consider getting this on sale. I paid a few bucks and I think that is totally fair for this game!

Excellent single player experience. Don't play online. There are bad people in the internet.

Took me one month to say this: Thank you again, Hideo!

Playing this right after Outlast was probably not the best idea. Least to say Among the Sleep is not a very scary horror game. I played the alpha / demo years ago when the indie team just started and now after having the game in my Steam account since years (I got it in a bundle) I thought I'd give it a try.

What can I say, the idea was always good, but it is a very short atmospheric spooky game. Horror, not really. It has a few jump scares, and there are a few ways to generate a game over, but it feels very "soft" after playing stuff like Outlast etc.

Taking in the amount of time and hard work of the dev team, watching at the result, I'd say it's worth a try if you want a very atmospheric "horror game". It's not that scary at all, so maybe give it a try if you are not sure if those games are for you. Kudos for making a horror game that can live without gore, sex and all that psycho stuff and actually tells a mindful story.

Still it is rather unfitting for those of you that are eagerly waiting to piss in their pants.

Late to the party I know, but now I know that this is one of the, if not the best horror game I played. It just works with very few bugs or the like, movement is smooth, difficulties ranging from fair to f*d up and doable achievements (except both Lunatics achievements, those are HARD).

Got this in a bundle, but now that I've finally played it, worth full price if you are a fan of horror. One negative point would be maybe a BIT too much gore, since for me personally horror should be mainly created from atmosphere. But it's allright, there is also a lot of atmosphere to take in while playing.

I played a bit and I can say that stomping tiny bots with giagantic bots surely is suprisingly pleasing in a way. Units are little cuties in general and make funny sounds. And yes I build nukes before you can build the shield.

No seriously, buy this game, the tactical approach and micro / macro fighting hugely benefits from the economy system being so minimalistic (energy / metal is the only thing you need and both are "infinite").

Eight years after this game's release computers finally caught up with it to calculate and display units up to the ten thousands spread on multiple planets. Your maps are whole solar systems, where you begin as a small bot-fighter startup company that dries entire planets up harvesting their resources only to invest in rockets and other mechanery ending up with mountain tall units destroying whole armies all alone, sending dozens of "pacifier" missles to other planets nuking their entire surface or using whole planets themselves turning them either into death stars annihilating other planets with a huge laser or mounting huge rocket engines on moons to sweep them gently into other planets ripping them apart. (That was one long-ass sentence.)

Absolutely worth 3 bucks! Achievements keep this game alive and worthy to complete, especially since all the achievements are pretty doable once you figure out how to play the game.

The controls and the camera can make your head spin, but overall it is not too hard to get into the game. Consider the amount of time Mr. Bolder put into this game, and it's well worth the full price!

Add Steam Achievements, then we can talk. Otherwise, super good game. One of the first PC games I played when I was a kid.
