A good 2hu-inspired dungeon crawler which can be played on a relaxed or a hardcore way. Plenty of characters. I recommed buying the DLC for even more variety

A hard but fun game. The translation is an unedited MT one, but it still helps to figure out what's going on with the menus and story. It has speedrun potential for those who like 2D games.
Remember to configure English language using the F1 menu and then pressing F5!

I've played around 500+ hours in JP and 200 already on NA at the moment I initially wrote this review. Edited at 1300 hours on Steam alone, with "Ver. 2"
Good game. Really heavy on character customization and gives you a lot of freedom regarding playstyle (completely free and unlimited class changes). However, YOU MUST READ GUIDES IF YOU DON'T WANT TO MESS YOUR CHARACTER TO A POINT OF NO RETURN (only applicable for the old PSO2. They have finally changed several things to avoid this problem).
The most attractive point are the so called "Urgent Quests", special events that happen from time to time. Some of them are really fun to do boss fights and include amazing soundtracks.
You don't need to get every single BiS to play on the highest difficulties, but it's a path most of us will eventually take to min-max as, otherwise, things become overly slow and a literal pain for everyone involved. Damage escalates a lot as you improve your equipment and playstyle. Some classes are simple but require really high consistency, others can be super complex for beginners, but end up being a breeze after a couple of hours.
Fashion is vast, and there are a lot of collabs every now and then. Now if you excuse me, I need to go back to play with my CAST cosplaying Aigis using a Megumin hat.

EARLY ACCESS, PRE RELEASE REVIIEW
WARNING: RECOMMENDED TO PLAY WITH A CONTROLLER

I'm a big fan of the Wipeout racing games since I got my hands on a PS1 back in the 90s with a Wipeout 3 disc next to it. I've been following this game as soon as it got kickstarted and bought it on 2017 as I noticed that the people behind R8Games was also part of the production of Wipeout 3 back in the day.
The game by itself is futuristic races using anti-grav crafts. In its current state, you have several speed categories and tracks placed on a futuristic version of the United States, with a playtime of around 5-ish hours to finish the current campaign. Knowing how this game has been developed until now, expect much more tracks in the following months.
Mechanics wise, you don't have the classic random weapon pads or "weapon absortion" mechanics present in recent Wipeout titles. Instead, you have to choose two fixed weapons/defensive tools, with varied degrees of customization, to use in the tracks as soon as you pick up a weapon charge. Also, you need to pay attention to your shields/HP as they don't recharge on their own and you can only recharge a certain portion of your shields with a pickup, meaning that reckless driving is heavily penalized -although there is no perma-death mechanic in normal races-.
Graphics wise, the modified UE4 engine makes this game pleasant to the eyes. The landscapes look pretty realistic and there isn't any feel of oversaturarion overall. With all in max, I haven't experienced frame drops, aside from a random crash while putting my CPU under heavy charge in the backgroud.
In conclusion, it's a promising game from people that know what to do. The current 40USD price is not a steal, but neither is too expensive for a game with this quality. Even if you are not a avid fan of Wipeout but you want to try something similar, give this game a try.

- Cleared on Normal up to NG+4 for achievements and Lunatic -

The Disappearing of Gesokyo is a Chinese Touhou doujin game that looks like 'Touhou meets Diablo'. It's an ok experience, but it has a sorta poor English translation. It may require players to know a bit of the Touhou lore up to Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom to catch the backstory of the present characters and enemies.
I highly recommend buying this game when it has a discount, INCLUDING DLCs. DLC characters like Kogasa and Youmou are broken, changing dramatically how you can play this game (basically from dodging a isometric bullet hell to tank and melee stuff).
The game itself has difficulties ranging from Easy to the infamous Lunatic. Easy is trivial, Normal is a fair experience, Hard is "how you are supposed to play this" and Lunatic is... Lunatic. It also includes NG+s up to the 10th, increasing enemy attack/defense.

If you like Touhou or you just want to experience a non 2D 2hu doujin full of cheap jokes you should try this game.

[TECH BETA REVIEW]

The game is pretty interesting: a good blend between FPS and RTS with hectiness and some strategy while spamming your weapons against your enemies. Right now it needs serious polishing regarding the whole experience, but it seems promising

A beautiful metroidvania based on Touhou. Even if you are casual and/or you have no idea (aside memes) of this world, give it a try. Well designed graphics, fair difficulty and a BGM that is already on my playlist.

I was extremely skepticsl about this port. It's Activison on PC after all plus the same dev for Arkham Asylum. I pumped up every setting to the maximum and started with Warped (like in my childhood) expecting anything... I wasn't dissapointed at all.
Played for almost 5 hours straight as soon as I finished downloading this and I must say if you liked the old PS1 ones, you will like this remaster on your PC as well. You can play with Coco almost all the levels man!
No fps drops, 60 fps all the time... Tbh it was weird after replaying the originals on 24. I recommend this

PD: VV's extra levels are hard as nails the very first time you face them. You feel really satisfied when you are done with them.
