Probably the closest thing to shovel ware on Steam, Rematch is an underbaked mess riding on hype to succeed. There are 4 different queues, so playing solo means being stuck in 3v3 or maybe waiting 10 minutes for a 4v4. 5v5 is purely stacks so forget about even finding a match.

The controls are jank as hell. Getting possession is a fight against the weird system they have implemented for determining who has control of the ball, and spamming tackles negates ball carrying anyway. The game just becomes about who can serve alley oop shots off the rear wall the best.

Feels like ♥♥♥♥ to play, crashes often, and solo players are left in the most unbalanced game mode. Wouldn't recommend to anyone, it's barely even a football game.

UPDATE: It was mainly a skill issue.

UPDATE 2: So matchmaking means nothing. You will get equal Master/Elite tier players and Silver. Desync is somehow worse? Sadly this is just to FIFA what methadone is to heroin.

If you're a Dragon Ball fan looking for a Dragon Ball game, sure I might recommend it.

If you are looking for anything resembling a fun, competitive online arena fighter do not bother. Any fun to be had has been sucked out by optimisation by sweaty losers and cheese when it comes to online fighting. Team battles are either 3 to 5 characters that have ability which stops you from hitting them for 15 seconds a piece, and can easily be chained for up to a minute of gameplay where you have no option but to just run away and try to ki blast. If you counter their attacks, they dodge. Hit them with a beam blast? Free dodge. Hit them with an AoE around yourself? Believe it or not, they dodge.

If it isn't that its another character who can instantly go into Sparking mode (Broly Z, Beerus, MUI Goku, SSJ4 Gogeta, SSJ2 Kefla etc) and they lock you in place with infinite ki blasts then hit you with an unblockable ult.

If its not that, it's a team of 3 giant characters that can also go instant Sparking, and chain unblockable dash attacks or grabs which hit you even if you vanish to the side because giants are 4 times larger than everyone else and can't be staggered with attacks in the same way.

The online game experience is the most prime example of how the fun part of online gaming is dead. 90% of the people I played would have been kicked out of my house for how they play this game back in the days of BT3 and never invited back.

There is no casual matchmaking, just a terrible room system which barely works. Ranked is solely about abusing the cheapest tactic to win. It isn't Dragon Ball, it's playing like an utter ♥♥♥♥♥ solely for the purpose of getting ranked points. Might be fun for some, but it is not a fighting game. I wouldn't recommend this game to a single person I know.

I think Elden Ring will deservedly go down as one of the greatest games of all time. Is it faultless? Absolutely not.

It is made using a specific and perfected formula that FromSoftware has refined across their previous titles. It makes you realise that the Souls games laid a brilliant foundation of gameplay and exploration, of theorycrafting and discovery. Bloodborne was an experiment in theme and introduced new mechanics like transforming weapons and bestial power. Sekiro let us jump, and sneak around, and move with unprecedented freedom. Elden Ring is the beautiful result of all that experimentation and learning.

It won't be for everyone, and that's okay. Not every game considered amongst the greatest of all time are loved by every single person. That said, Elden Ring sets a new bar for games of its genre and kind and deserves every ounce of praise it has received. If you enjoyed even any of the Souls games previously I couldn't recommend the game more.

I hate rogue likes. I love this game. Up there with Dark Souls and Bloodborne for games that really feel super satisfying to beat. A lot of depth for long term play as well, if you're into that thing which I am not, but I can see how much replayability was considered in development. Music is also absolutely spot on and the hand drawn art is gorgeous. 10/10

Game barely works. Can't edit any settings and can't even select which monitor it plays on.

Early Access Review
I never played M&B before, and after 10 minutes with Warband I decided to pick up Bannerlord. What a damn game. If you want to be a lone merc with a few boys at your side trying to survive in a world constantly torn apart by war, you can. If you want to amass a 100 strong horde of archers on horseback and roam the deserts raiding any who stray too close, you can. If you want to bankroll a monopoly on pottery and run the largest trade empire in the known world while manipulating supply and demand to fill your coffers, you can.

This game is something else. The combat is weighty and satisfying, it looks pretty gorgeous on max settings, and the huge battles are a sight to behold. Couldn't recommend more, and its only early access!
