It has Nep Nep.

But in seriousness, this game is a very light hearted game. Granted the characters are fanservices themselves, especially in CPU mode (looking at best transformed waifu Iris Heart <3), but their interactions and dialogues are pretty funny. They will always break the 4th wall, make joke about the game industry (see what I did there? In case you didn't know that, this game takes place in a world called Gaminsdustri) etc. And Neps (or in Japanese, Nepu)!

Combat-wise is pretty simple; turn based and in each turn you get to hit them as many times as you like (or as Neptune says it "Nepu Nepu ni sheite yan yo!"). Hit them until they die and get rewards. Can't be much easier than that, can it? You also get to place which character go first, how are they position, and most importantly, what additional perks they get from their pairing (for example, some will give a XP boost, while some can shorten your turn time etc). If you are overlevelled, you will just steamroll your way past the mobs (unless you are doing the endgame coliseum, then you can't do that. Choosing the right partners and pairing and equipments are the key here).

Gear wise, it's not so grindy, unless you are planning for endgame DLC gears, where you can only get them from bosses that only can be beaten (and met) via DLC purchases. Granted the DLC ups the cap by 300 per DLC, but this is really needed to beat the bosses in maps and colliseums. Other than that, the only other thing that requires massive grinding is for crafting cosmetic items (processors, accessories and clothes). Granted, processors give you stats, but by the time you reach the endgame, the stats don't matter anymore (well, unless you are taking on the level 900+ coliseum battles).

Levelling wise, again it's not so grindy. Killing on Dangerous boss nets you tons of XP. 1 kill = at least 5 levels worth. Heck the most I saw was around 87 million, which is equivalent to around...... 60 levels? Though that was from an endgame coliseum battle. Even without that, at a certain level you can do coliseum battle with a XP reward while is around half of it. Still a massive levelling up, in my opinion.

Credits wise, it follows the rule for levelling, especially on Dangerous bosses or certain high level coliseum battles, where a victory over them will net you tons of credits. Getting the credits achievement is a hassle though. Credits can be used to purchase gears, costumes and consumables in item shops. Otherwise, how does the pudding lady make money from Nep-Nep?

You can unlock every characters in the game except the DLC-based ones since they will eventually be up to use (or for certain pre-pubescent girls, "create" them). The DLC characters are kinda cheating in certain situations during story mode (e.g. when no one can transform, they can) though. Plus they don't really interact or have any significance in the story mode (except for one).

Lastly, for the love of God, PLAY. THIS. GAME. IN. JAPANESE. English audio is not the same, it doesn't have that same charm as it (and Nepu!). It may sound weabooish of me, but hearing the English voice is 10 times worse than Plutia's "jump" quote in Japanese. And that's a lot.

Overall, I would really recommend this game. If you are a fan of the anime series and want more, or a fan of turn-based JRPGs, or if you want to see girls in revealing armors, go ahead, get this game first in the Neptunia series.

Nep/10 would nep Nep Nep again.

PS: There is an guide out there on how to nep Nep Nep. It's on my recommended guide. READ IT. SAVOR IT. And most importantly, NEP IT.

L4D2 is the sequel that came out 1 year after L4D1. Basically, if you played L4D1, gameplay-wise its really similar. Go from point A to point B, survive an event, reach point B which is a safehouse, then the chapter is cleared.

However, unlike the original, this game had few new things:
a) Weapon variety. Each type of weapon (sniper rifle, submachine gun, rifles) have many variants. No more M16 or Uzi only, unlike L4D1.
b) Uncommon Infected. Each campaign have their own uncommon Infected (excluding the ported campaigns, which have different types of uncommon Infected that spawn per chapter), which are basically common Infected with a perk. For example, the Hazmat infected are immune to fire, while the riot police infected are bulletproof from the front. There is a special uncommon Infected in the original L4D2 map, which I still have yet to see.
c) Special Infected. There are three new SI, in addition to the SI from L4D1. One of it is the Charger, which is supposedly one of the solutions made by Valve to prevent shiv-stacking. Basically, its charge will stun everyone if it goes through them, with the last person being pinned by it. The second, one, which is also another SI made to counter shiv-stacking is the Spitter. Like its namestead, it spits a puddle of acid, which will deal damage over time, the longer you are in it. Finally, the semi-counter to shiv-stacking, and the most annoying one of them all due to its sound, its the Jockey. Basically this guy rides a survivor, making them helpless in controlling their movement.
d) Scavenge mode. This mode is basically like the end of Dead Center or The Passing, where you need to fill up generators in order to advance. Tanks and Witches don't spawn here though.
e) Gauntlet Crescendo. Remember the events I mentioned earlier? Basically crescendo events are mega-mob events, where tons of zombies will close in to your location when you do something that is required to advance (or if you are not careful, and for a certain case, a song chorus). They are usually notified to the players my massive howling of Infecteds. In L4D1, crescendos are basically hold out events, if you hold out for long, it will end. L4D2 take it a step further such that it will only end when you do something (reach a certain point, turn off something etc).
f) Mutations. This mode is basically a game mod, which changes the game characteristics (e.g. only one player without bots, only Tank spawns, katana only, etc). Depending on preference, some are Campaign based, while others are Versus based, Scavenge based and Survival based.
g) Realism. This is an advanced gameplay mod for Campaign (there is a Mutation for this for Versus as well), where many elements are disabled and changed, such as Survivor glow, closet respawn being disabled, uncrownable Witch, instant kill Witch on any difficulty instead of Expert, etc.
h) Melee weapons. Want to decapitate an Infected with an axe? No problem! Melee weapons are 1 hit kill on common and uncommon Infected, and many SI as well, except for a certain few.

After playing this game, there are some issues to know:
a) AI. Survivor bots SUCKS horrendously here. Granted you can still play Expert mode with them, even Realism Expert, but their reaction time and ability to free you from being pinned is severely downgraded. Most likely due to that fact that they are programmed to free you from pins via melee (exept for the Charger case). Sniper rifle and horde handling issues still remain from the previous game, where they suck at managing sniper rifles and a mob that consists of 2 zombies or more. I can do this all day, but to keep it short, the Survivor AI are downgraded badly. Conversely due to the stupidity of Survivor AI, some SI AI shine here, like the Smoker. Its still bad, but at least they use elevations for smoking now (and sadly, Survivor AI can't deal with elevations).
b) Ported maps have some issues. Basically you just need L4D2 to play both L4D1 and L4D2 maps, but the L4D1 maps have certain issues such as hand placement model, incap animation, weird dialogues for spits etc. Some can be fixed with a mods though. However, the biggest offender is that..... L4D2 elements in L4D1 maps doesn't really fit. Granted the changes are made to accomodate Versus, but it feels really off to me. Everytime I plan to play L4D1 maps, I will boot up L4D1 to do this, instead of using L4D2.
c) Massive mods. Since L4D1 is being left for dead, focus on modding is on this game instead. Granted there are server mods that change the game with perks or so (not Mutation, mind you), but its really jarring to meet 9/ 10 modded server in Campaign or Versus. However, skin and audio mods for this game are really welcomed. Want to see Kurumi Tokisaki in action against a Tank? No problem, download her skin and audio mod, and go ham with the yandere attitude! Being a massive anime fan, I have plenty of mods downloaded. Not only anime, but characters from other games as well? Want to see Nep-Nep duke it out with a Witch? No problem! Chris Redfield boulder punching a Hunter? You got it! Kitana slicing an Infected with her fan? Sure! In my opinion, the skin mod is a really good reason to get this game. It makes the game feel..... fresh.
d) Rush tactics. The term shiv-stacking or closet camping doesn't exist here. Everything here is rush, rush, rush. Very different from L4D1. However, blind rushing is very common here, especially in modded servers. No teamwork involved. Only at high level or decent pub play you will see coordinated rush.
e) Collision detection and hitbox issues. Not an issue in Campaign, but very much so in Versus. "Ooh I am charging someone! Wait, I ghosted past him?! Now I am falling off a cliff! Failed karma chargeeeeeeeeeeeeee" This is very common here. Even as a Hunter or Jockey, pinning them now is much harder due to the reduced hitbox for pounces. Unlike L4D2, L4D1 Hunter can pin someone, even if he landed on the victim's toes? Now? You have to land on him directly.

Despite the issues I have highlighted above, verall, as a zombie killing sucker (or humans for Versus case), I would really recommend this game. If you like zombie killing, or you are just a fan for brains, get it! Don't forget the mods, there are plenty!
