Mostly Borderlands and once, a long long time ago, Warframe and Neotokyo.

On the off-chance you're thinking of gifting something, just know that I treat my wishlist as a "things I think I'd like to try some day in the far future". There's a strong chance I won't make the time to play a new gift, as I already have plenty on my plate as it is.

Have a good day, don't forget to floss.

This is a collection of all the standards F7200 ships recreation I've done so far for BallisticNG. My original idea with the project Wip3out NG was to recreate Wip3out’s ships while improving their visual. Completely done from scratch, these ships feature

A sourcemod dating back to '09, a competitive tactical shooter with three classes, each defined by armor, mobility, available weaponry, thermoptic camouflage time, and vision mode. A beautiful world based on not-quite-GitS-don’t-sue-us aesthetic and the (rarely heard) atmospheric soundtrack sell the mood of the game when you’re hunting/being hunted in a game of cybernetic cat and mouse. It's tactical, harsh, and surprisingly fast-paced when you least expect it.

When the silence breaks and the fully automatic .50 caliber bullets start flying, you find yourself in a situational rock-paper-scissors matchup. Situational as in there is a hierarchy of “Support beats other classes in well-lit open battles”, “Assault can easily eliminate moving Recons”, or “cloaked Recons will have the ambush advantage in darker areas.” But these rules don’t always hold true. Depending on the lighting a Support can shut down a Recon’s ambush, an Assault can nade an entrenched Support, and a Recon could, well, there are a lot of risky options Recon can pull out of nowhere.

Communication with your team is paramount to success, spanning from enemy callouts, requesting/offering flanking support from teammates, warning of traps/ambushes, using the objective flag to actively mark all enemies in a 50 meter radius, or just hiding in a corner with a friend and talking about mopeds.

Being based on as old of a version of source as it is, there’s a fair amount of jank in the game. Hit registration is ■■■■, made even worse by ping and higher movement speeds. Leaning doesn’t always work if you're close to walls or short fences. Aiming down sight doesn’t exist, you get some zoom and a reticule instead for anything that isn’t a sniper rifle. Recoil is a random dispersal cone after the first shot, really primitive system that can put a bad taste in your mouth.

Some of that jank works for the game when it comes to movement. You’ve got wiggle walking, wall running, and some serious bunnyhopping. The playerbase is a ghost town outside of NA/EU evening hours, joining http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/groups/ANPA/ is necessary to find out when other players are on.

All this makes it a difficult game to get into with long-time legacy players shutting down the unaware, but if you can get past that there’s a SOLID core gameplay that’ll keep you thinking and guessing. Looking at my friends who’ve played recently, the 22 of us have logged 331 thousand hours on Steam, averaging out to 15 thousand hours each. The game did something right, that or we all did something terribly wrong.
