Great game. Music has the potential to be close to the Ace Attorney music, the entire story has a personality unlike most games out there that matches the music, the story is really good. Puzzles in my opinion were okay because it didn't always require you to truly think and focus like Ace Attorney, there were some that I brute forced by jumping to every object and moving them all. Once you see what they do, then things click. Personally, I find it more enjoyable if you had to figure out the solution before you touch anything, that way you feel more rewarded. Characters and dialogue were amazing, especially Missile. I genuinely cannot recall any game off the top of my head that did a good job with the character design, animation, personality, witty dialogue, funny jokes, etc. I feel like the jokes were on par with earlier Ace Attorney games with the Phoenix trilogy, which was actually funny and witty.

One thing that I don't think ANYONE has mentioned in many reviews that I've seen is how good they make you want to learn more about what is going on in the story. And how it reveals that story is incredibly good. They gave you bits and pieces along the way that increased your curiosity, facts that were intriguing. At one moment I was realizing some stuff halfway through the game and decided to take a break to analyze the facts like it was Ace Attorney. I figured out some stuff before they could reveal but some of the information that I couldn't figure out genuinely shocked me when it was revealed. If a game can do that, that's pretty good. And the information that they somewhat hide in plain sight is hidden very well with no attention brought to it at all.

Personally, I thought the game was very good, but it didn't feel like it was the same as Ace Attorney which is my #1 favorite game. Personally, I think this might be due to resonance with the player. Some people resonate better with this game than others, but nonetheless, you should give it a try and play it through.

Game is literally so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane and intense, but I wish there was more content. There's not much content but everything in the game is very good. AI and other aspects of the game need to be polished to be more "real". Lights don't always get shot out but there is a crazy amount of detail in the game.

If you like how 2B looks and you have a controller and a good PC, play this game.

I will separate this review into 3 playthroughs and give my opinion on them WITHOUT spoilers.

Playthrough #1: Somewhat fun in my opinion. I originally was never into Hack and Slash and bullet hell games at first but it was a unique gameplay style and I enjoyed it. And to answer your question about the Hack and Slash aspect of the game, no it is not repetitive. There are many different combos and different move sets depending if you change the order of your light/heavy attacks and weapons of choice. The ending was pretty powerful in my opinion.

Playthrough #2: Same thing as the first playthrough but you get to play as 9S instead of 2B. The gameplay changes and so does the storyline actually. The same main events from the first playthrough reoccur in this playthrough but you learn much more about each boss and character which kinda makes the story a bit better(?) and actually pretty cool in general. There is also a HUGE spoiler near the end of this playthrough and you might miss some details that most overlook so I suggest after beating the 3rd playthrough, look them up.

Playthrough #3: This is the main reason why most people love the game (besides 2B of course) is this playthrough. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this playthrough gets crazy for a whole 10 hours. The game just hits you left and right and back and forth. The end made me completely speechless for the rest of the day because of what happened the whole time during the 3rd playthrough. I may be overhyping and exaggerating it but in my opinion, it was insane. And the soundtracks, holy crap they are SO good.

Please play this game.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ What the ♥♥♥♥ I didnt expect any of this

I SURPRISINGLY did not get spoiled the game and never knew about anything in this game until my friend recommended me to play it. This is my review after the game has been released 2 years ago.

There are three main endings to the game. Neutral, Pacifist, and Genocide Ending.

When I first played it though, I thought it was a funny game until I got to the end of the neutral ending where I did not expect the game to devolve to what it did, but I kept on playing to get all the endings. By the end, the game easily pointed to the fact that the pacifist ending was the good ending and I wanted to keep playing so I can "do the right thing".

When I was playing the pacifist ending, I did not realize how "pacifist" you could be. Not a single person has to die in the game and that concept at first seemed unfamiliar to me. But as the game progressed, I began to understand how thats possible. The ending to the Pacifist ending, however, is AMAZING. This is the only ending that has actually accomplished at making me cry, and I have never cried about any game before. This ending was an experience and a journey. This ending touched my soul. This ending made me love the game.

When I was playing the genocide ending, I did not want to change my pacifist ending. It was tough wanting to know what happens in the genocide ending. This ending, however, surpringly had many different connections to the player that showed that Toby literally know why you were playing this ending. PURELY to know what happens. What happens, though is quite interesting and felt a little short. It makes sense though, because of spoilers, but I feel like I wish I saw more of what happened rather than the spoiler, it seemed a bit short. But still, the final boss in the Genocide ending is possibly even harder than a Dark Souls boss. It took me 2 hours while the hardest boss in Dark Souls III (Midir) took me 1 hour and 30 minutes. Thats the peak of the playthrough, that boss.

Looking back on this game, Toby made so many subtle changes in the game just from one or two choices makes me realize he put a ♥♥♥♥ ton of effort into the game. For example, things like doing the Genocide Playthrough twice or Genocide then Pacifist ending or even killing a certain boss in the neutral playthrough make quite a change in the dialogue. Even killing Toriel and then restarting the game and reloading ur save and sparing her makes Flowey say different dialogue in the beginning of the game. The game also loves breaking the 4th Wall with the audience/player and it's actually pretty funny. And after all of these experiences, the OST soundtracks are amazing because I'm reliving those moments of when I fought that boss or remember the moments that changed my perspective on the game and even life.

I first family shared this game with my friend but now, since I have had the chance to experience this game, I feel like paying full price for the whole game after already beating it.

Please play this game.
