Early Access Review
While it's definitely not as fully-fleshed out as bigger games like Overwatch, Battlefield and CoD, this incorporates enough of my favorite mechanics from each of them that I'm left with a fairly-addictive furry shooter that I can't stop playing. The in-game currencies are easy to get and afford me a ton of interesting unlocks. The furry characters are well-designed, well-animated for the budget, and have fun powers to use. The game modes are a bit lacking and the maps are limited, but the ones here are executed with enough quality that I don't mind waiting for more to get released.

Overall, while it's no big-budget game of the year, this is exactly the fun and engaging furry hero shooter I never knew I needed.

This game is the kind of roguelike I've been waiting for: plenty of star appeal in terms of what heroes you get to play (loving the take on Little Red Riding Hood especially), plenty of quality-of-life touches that make it comfortable to play, and plenty of ways to customize and scale your power. I'm buying two extra copies for my husband and roommate right now!

Combat is fast, feels powerful, and has a good amount of customization so it never feels dull. Bosses can be genuinely challenging on Hard difficulty. There's some minor inconsistencies with the source material (mainly cut filler and such), and there are some design and game mechanic choices that seem superfluous, but it's an enjoyable, solid experience. Definitely worth the price of admission.

Early Access Review
The controls are terrible, the ideas are bland, and the polish just isn't there. It's just Elite Dangerous, but without a majority of the functionality and content. It may be early access, but it's not doing enough to really catch and hold my interest.

There's a reason it's dominating the industry right now: it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing game. If you're into strategic, viceral, stamina-based combat against massive, powerful bosses, then this is the world for you.

It's questing might be a bit traditional for a current-gen MMO, but the gameplay I've been able to experience so far (from combat to taming a wide variety of creatures) is anything but ordinary. My assassin character is fun to dash and slash around with and taking down foes is a very rewarding experience with the action-based combat. And add to that fact that you can often choose to tame a monster rather than kill it? I remember a fight against some Wookie-like chieftain riding a giant frost boar. After I took him off of it and killed him, his beast continued to fight us. I didn't know if I could, but I gave it a show anyway and hit the tame-mode button. To my surprise, after a hearty struggle, I was able to tame it and still count towards the quest objective of taking down the chieftain, with a brand new rare mount to ride back with.

Take:

- The combat style of Dark Souls
- The dangerous creatures from Monster Hunter
- The wide-open world and quests of Skyrim (plus training and gearing a companion character)
- The boss-climbing from Shadow of the Colossus Mix

Mix it all together and you've basically got Dragon's Dogma. There's obviously a lot more to this amazing game, and it's not without some flaws, but it is definitely worth picking up if the above concepts are things you enjoy.
