Change the following setting, Video Framework: to Prefer DirectShow LAV, under general tab / video. Check if that fixes the issue.

Wallpaper Engine does not install the required video Codec (HEVC Codec) in order to playback the wallpaper properly. You have to install the Codec separately. Easiest solution is to install K-Lite Codec Pack (any version), which includes the require video Codec.

Hello, all your 4K wallpapers I have are black screen, other bloggers' 4K wallpapers can open, I don't know what went wrong, I tried to uninstall the software and reinstall it, but it didn't work.

Anyone having issues with my wallpapers (black screen), that means your computer is missing the required Codec to playback the wallpaper properly. Just install K-Lite Codec Pack (any version), and it will install the required codec to playback the wallpaper.

It will allow you to view the High Efficiency Video Coding files that apple uses for free on windows, and it works just as well as the other $0.99 option also made by Microsoft. (why apple uses this format, and Microsoft doesn't include this in a windows update- I will never know.)
