Generally a pretty cool little idle game, which has a ton of depth. However, there's a 'phasing' mechanic in this game that was implemented extremely poorly on-top of its targeting priority system and it can, and does, unfortunately make this game truly unfun once you start to dig into the later game eras.

Imagine playing whack-a-mole but before hitting any moles you have to shine a flashlight at them, and the system that you can use to shine the flashlight is tantamount to taping your flashlight to the arms of a wacky waving inflatable arm-flailing tube-man and just praying for the best. That's what we're dealin' with- it's horrid and the developer seems to think it's great so it's probably not getting fixed anytime soon.

A sequel done right -- If Hades were a perfect steak dinner, Hades 2 is a perfect steak dinner paired with wine, a delicious side, and a rich dessert. The sound design is out of the world, it's even 'prettier' than hades 1, and I gotta say - my first impression was that I wouldn't enjoy being a 'witch' - but I can't get enough of it now.

If you were a fan of the first installment in this series, you will not be disappointed here. It's "More of the Same, but better."

The problem with creating one of the best games ever, is that when you're tasked with creating its sequel you have a monster challenge ahead of you. This game is no monster, it is a mouse.
If you have come to Below Zero expecting the epic environment-driven storytelling, interesting tech trees, and a sense of meaningful advancement which were all found in the original, then I believe you will be disappointed. Below Zero is about as un-interesting a take on the Subnautica universe as I could possibly imagine. The tech is all dumbed down and much of it is actually irrelevant, the exploration does not feel organic or even interesting/engaging, and the result is that to me the game felt quite 'short' and bereft of the charm that I experienced in the original. I have no idea what state the development of this game must have been in for *THIS* to have been the "oh this is better" result of Unknown Words' decision to completely redesign the story, but it must have been utterly dreadful. I preordered this game based on hype from the original, and boy what a mistake.

Super chill TD game with competitive and single player modes, both on and off ladders. Actively and regularly updated by devs. 1k+hrs played and I still find it fun!
