Excellent game for its price, you'll know if its your kinda game within the refund window, give it a try.

Quality game, gets the formula right.

This game is mediocre at best and in my opinion doesn't deserve the vast acclaim its receiving. I'm gonna list a few reasons why, its gonna be long as ♥♥♥♥ so be prepared.

1) Huge map - The complete lack of diversity in the world is appalling, there's absolutely 0 incentive to explore once you've briefly travelled around the few biomes in the game. Not to mention the fact that one of the only biomes isn't even playable yet, as it has no enemies, music or literally anything but trees in it. I understand its an early access game but again, not seen a single review mention this.

2) Mobs/ Bosses - In each biome there is a select few mobs that you will encounter within minutes of entry, they are uninteresting, plain and repetitive. The coolest mob in the entire game is the troll, which like everything else gets old fast. The bosses are genuinely shockingly poor, they are easy to cheese and are generally just a tank trying to figure out how to traverse a rock or some ♥♥♥♥. The 3rd boss was one of the most soul-draining experiences of my life, just spawning endless ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mobs that I've had to deal with the last 6 hours already.

3) Combat - The combat is simple and unsatisfying. Admittedly the bow is ok, and is the weapon you will use for 90% of encounters. If you decide to use a melee weapon, prepare for the frustration of managing your stamina in every single encounter, resulting in you constantly having to walk away slowly, abusing the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ AI.

4) Progression / Pacing - The pacing of this game is just strange and so linear, you are forced to fight the boss (directly marked on the map) in each stage to make any meaningful progression, and it takes hours of mindless mining to make a gear set, that becomes useless within hours of making it.

5) Weapon diversity - The amount of weapons that are viable in this game is a joke, im 20 hours in and about to beat the 4th boss, and have made 2 types of bows, and a sword. That's it. There's no variance in game styles, and for people who are gonna comment on the 'stealth' mechanic, don't bother, cause we both know nobody uses it.

Ending note - I'm not some annoyed pleb that likes moaning, I'm just frustrated with the lack of acknowledgement of this games wide variety of flaws. If you enjoy the game, good for you, but this is no masterpiece.

Great game, the low price is more than worth it, give it a go its better than it looks.

♥♥♥♥, insanely repetitive, all upgrades are worse than the base hp upgrades so dont even bother exploring just try and luck out by making it to the next floor so you dont have to play for as long. But dont worry on the next floor you can STILL complete the same 6 levels for eternity. On the FAQ's on the game the developers state 12-15hrs to complete the game, I wanted to hang myself after 2.
