What an original and unique game. if you like card games or deck buildiers at all then this is a must play. You will love it. The way the gameplay itself and story unfolds layers upon layers breaking 4th walls... Really fun!

One of my favorite games of 2021 and now amongst lifetime favorites.

The innovative gameplay really clicked with me. It was so refreshing and FUN. There is nothing like it, so it was enjoyable to figure out the game mechanics. If you like card games, strategy, RPGs, and roguelikes then you will probably enjoy this.

The music is AMAZING. Going in blind, the first time I heard the boss music was such an epic experience. Memorable and immersive in a way that reminds me of Shadow of Colossus. The way the music just made the experience epic the first time you climb onto a colossus. I found it comparable in its own 8-bit charm way. That memory alone has been filed amongst my lifetime best game memories along with moments like fighting psycho mantis the first time, Mario 64, already mentioned first-time-on-a-colossus, etc.

A lot of reply value and room for experimenting with different builds and strategies.

Fun Action Roguelite.
Weapon drops and upgrades give a wide variety of playstyle combinations.
Each temple has a different biome with different enemies and unique bosses.
Persistent character upgrades in roguelite fashion.
If you're a fan of Hades good chances you'll like this. It doesn't have a story or dialogue at all (so far) like Hades, pure action.

There are side quests better than the main quests of many other games.

Just utterly fun. It reminded me of an older review category called "Fun Factor" and after hopping from game to game looking for something to stick, Doom sucked me in. You feel like a badass. Somehow it brought back the gory fun of classic FPS games like the original Doom games, Heretic, etc but updated with eye candy galore. This game brought back a level of enjoyment I had forgotten games can give. Highly recommended.

This game is a lot of fun! It reminds me a little of Team Fortress 2 and Counter-Strike with the multiplayer. However, the variety of game modes is where it really shines. The combat is HEAVY and you really feel the weight of each hit, block, and blow. Each class and each weapon type are so different you can spend hours mastering one to take out opponents. Where you aim, how you swing and what type of weapon you are using against what type of armor all matters. If I'm recalling correctly even where you are swinging matters. For example while attempting to swing a twohanded bastard sword if I hit the wall it will stop my swing. The realism that is attempted to be achieved is what makes this game so fun. You can feel the armor you are wearing effectivingly blocking certain blows or not. You can tell someone knocked your helmet off with their mace leaving you vulnarable for a death the next swing to to the head. Aiming for the neck will certainly decapitate someone. Heck you can decapatate two people or more at once if your swing just happens to go through two necks or more. Getting just one kill dualing someone is a challenge and feels very rewarding when you come out the winner. A cool moment in Chivalry was when I charged as a Vanguard at a pair of enemies dualing each other. I do my special leap charge attack with my spear and peirce through both of them killing them.
