Game lacks content and the maps get repetitive. Do not buy now, wait on it.

Okay, disclaimer aside: this game is great. Possibly better than Squad or Hell Let Loose. Forcing basically all players to have bolt actions with bayonets and a melee weapon leads to some of the most fun I've had in a "tactical" shooter. Additionally, the frontline mechanics here work beautifully, even better than Hell Let Loose's frontlines.

Now the negative (mostly due to being Early Access): this game is not optimized. Frames and video settings are strange and hard to find what gives the best fps/quality most consistently. Suffers from the role of Commander being horribly boring right now (it needs to be fun or have some abilities because doing logistics of 8 squads without that is not enjoyable).

game is EARLY ACCESS

Yes it is fun, but the AI is relatively simple right now.

Also playing not on VR means really slow walking/running speed.

Ambient noise in homes is supposed to scare you but given its the same in every level (no custom reverb or soundscapes to help differentiate levels and rooms), the ambient noise quickly wears on you rather than serving its purpose.

Bottom line: this game has a ton of potential and I am really excited to see where it goes, I would probably wait to recommend it until it updates further though. This reminds me a lot of Barotrauma in the early days of its Early Access, once they find direction and a lot of work is done, it'll be great.

good game

two things I did not like:
* story telling is hidden in menus
* combat got repetitive and extremely easy near the end of the game

two things I like:
* homages to classic DOOM (key cards, and then in later levels the pentagram teleports at the end of levels)
* soundtrack

bottom line:
if you're looking for story, you might look at other shooters. but if you're looking for mindless fun with collectibles and such, play DOOM.

Newest update "Beyond Light" breaks PVP with its new "Stasis" ability. If you just used your super, anyone with stasis can freeze you and make you waste your super.

The worst part: stasis is only available for those who purchase the newest campaign.

------------------

I'd like to see Bungie change either the balancing or make stasis available for all free-to-play players. In all other aspects but the Crucible and Gambit (PVP) at this exact moment, I can recommend the game. But until a fix is out to make the new abilities less powerful, I cannot recommend this game.

A free version of Kovaak's aim trainer.

While I want Kovaak's because of it's support and detailed write-ups by people like Aimer7: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vaba3potfhf9jy1/KovaaK%20aim%20workout%20routines.pdf?dl=0

This works and still provides good practice

Imagine a game that is only CSGO/CSS minigames from the minigame servers. Imagine the show Wipeout but done by BEANS. This game is silly, fun, and has cosmetics. What else could you want for a casual pick up and play?

I think I like this game's frontline and cooldown mechanics more than Squad's (and w/e their WW2 title is). Although this game's healing mechanics and UI are a bit less streamlined than Squad's. Overall, I prefer HLL as my WW2 shooter, but will probably play Squad more often.

This game can produce some amazing experiences (despite the bugs). Like one time I was with my squad travelling through a French riverbank deep behind German lines as we tried to establish a position to attack the site from. There was a tank on the road by the riverbed ahead of us and we needed to crawl past it and go under a small wooden footbridge. We made it past the tank but the struggle was not over yet. The footbridge caused us to one-by-one fall into a void in the map and drown to death. Would recommend this game for WW2 shooter fans

Great teamplay. Difficult learning curve. Worth it.
