After spending 8 hours with Civ7 today I gotta say I'm greatly enjoying it. It's just FUN to play. It's very rough around the edges right now. The UI is atrocious. It doesn't give you any of the information you want and you're left guessing at how half the stuff works. But once they fix that (or the modders do their thing), I can tell I'm gonna be in love with it.

I think they fully succeeded at their goals with this game. That's not to say that everyone will like the changes though. If you preferred Civ5 to Civ6, you're probably not gonna be happy here. They took the changes from 6 and amplified them and went far further. Me personally I loved 6, so I think that's part of why I love this as well. It's like I'm discovering a whole new game, learning all of these new crunchy delicious mechanics, but it's still got that warm gooey familiar Civ center to it. There's interesting choices around every corner and so many different ways to play it. The sheer number of leader/Civ combinations and directions you can go is mind-boggling. Crazy replayability. I'm sure I'll be pouring another thousand hours into this one like I did with 6.

Early Access Review
Great game, wide variety of weapon/shield/ship combinations are viable and fun and different to play. I keep coming back to this to make a few runs here or there.

Later Edit: The above review still holds after full release and many many more hours of playing. I just love this game. It just nails this type of game perfectly.

Fun game, but I suck at it. I keep coming back to it, hoping my upgrades and a lucky run might help me out. I'm getting close to being able to beat it, but something always seems to kill me before I notice my health is low in the chaotic boss fights.

Does what it says on the box, that's for sure. You run and you jump, more running and jumping than you can shake a stick at. Now go fetch that stick as you chase your dog through crazy dangerous environs. The visuals are beautiful, but don't get too distracted staring at them, because when they say precision platformer, they mean it! You will die and you will die a lot from every wrong jump or step.

Anyone who likes this type of game will enjoy this for sure. The controls are very responsive and smooth, the jumps, dashes, and double jumps are varied enough to keep you on your toes trying to figure out which move to use to weave through the traps. And it's plenty difficult for those that like that, honestly a bit too difficult for me at times, but there's nice optional features that help people like me out with checkpoints and invincibility stars, which is a really nice touch (don't worry, you purists can turn them off).

Loved the first Holopoint, but I've never been able to get this one work. It just hangs forever loading the first level. It's been abandoned by the dev, so no hope of ever getting it fixed either.

It's probably a fun game if it happens to work on your system, so maybe give it a try and test it out and if it doesn't work, refund it. I wish I could refund it, but I waited too long hoping for a fix.

Everything I loved about the first one, only more and bigger and better. The sheer number of hero classes and how differently they all play is pretty crazy and great. So many options and styles of play and even ways to reduce game difficulty if you need to. Amazing game.

This is probably my favorite music rhythm game. The music selection fits the game so well and just feels great. I had probably 100 hours in the free Vive Infinity version, but when I saw the Lindsey Stirling pack come out, I decided it was time to buy the complete package over here on Steam. Muse and Lindsey Stirling are both top notch experiences in this game, I'm so glad I splurged and bought em all.

I really didn't expect flashy visuals, fancy reactive music/sounds, and VR to make that much of a difference on such a classic 2D game. I mean it's Tetris. It's already a perfectly great game, why muddy that up? But the experience is amazing. Words can't do it justice. You're no longer just playing Tetris, everything melds together into this happy zen warm bliss of sight, sound, and Tetrominoes.

Great balance of multiple genres, a little tower defense, a little city builder, a little god game. Steep learning curve at first, but once you understand how things work it's so easy to lose hours in without realizing it.

This is my favorite remake of XCOM. Quite faithful to the original and well balanced. It felt like my childhood all over again, tragically losing soldiers named after my friends and family right and left.
