Crashes maybe 15% of the time someone leaves a VS Duel. This is not only extremely annoying, but you lose all of the benefits of winning a game (rank up, coins). Other than that it's a pretty solid addition to the MTG PC games.I will rescind this non-recommendation once that horrible crash is fixed, and write a proper review at that point.

EDIT: Multiplayer is still riddled with bugs. Opponents can literally force a softlock if they wait out their turns at the right time, either forcing you to quit and lose rank or leave the game running until they leave (what the f***)? Crashes are still prevalent and has lost me rank after winning games.

Also where the hell is all the great Magic content? I understand that this is supposed to be an easier introduction to Magic than Magic Online but seriously, no other formats such as Modern or Commander? Plus some cards from sets aren't released on this game, and numbers of uncommons/rares/mythics are limited below 4. To new players, they might think this is fine but that's essentially locking you out of millions of card combinations.

Even though this game is free and a good introduction to Magic as a game, I would recommend making an account on Magic Online. It's almost like Wizards understands this and wants to hold out full content from releasing on this title.

EDIT 2: Even more bugs found, if you pause the timer in order to play an instant or flash card you can block yourself out of being able to play anything. Numerous times now I pause to play an instant and it doesn't allow me to play anything. Well done Wizards.

I've got mixed feelings about this game. On one hand, the game at it's core is simply the original Bioshock. Yes they mostly refurbished the graphics (I actually saw some water effects glitches on Ultra settings), everything else regarding the code is exactly the same - including any glitches that were around before.

This in turn makes it feel like a lazy installation and money seeking scheme, but you can't exactly blame the companies, as it has been occuring with pretty much every big label (see Modern Warfare, Elder Scrolls). Although, the aforementioned remasters are for the most part better done than this one is.

I got this game for free which I think is the right thing to do on the publisher's part, and for that reason I'll have to recommend the game. I'm grateful for the Steam achievements - as an achievement hoarder I was missing this in the original Bioshock - but I wouldn't necessarily pay $20 for some achievements and somewhat updated graphics. Yes, the original Bioshock might be a better purchase come Steam sales, but this is at its core the exact same game, and should be judged as such.

I have loved playing this game since I had it on the Xbox 360. However, this version is plagued with hackers, with no real method of action for taking them out (besides a long and laborious external reporting process).

I have never NOT recommended a game across any of my reviews, so this says a lot. Either Activision or Valve need to make this game's online actually accessible. Games without hackers are an extreme rarity, maybe around 5% of actual lobbies. Until then, this game gets a NO RECOMMENDO from me.

Punishingly hard, randomly generated, retro arcade platformer. Is fun, but can be extremely hard to progress, even on the lowest difficulties. Local multiplayer is fun, though LAN games seem to have lag issues. Fun overall.

The return of the retro platformer is a glorious one.

The epitome of first person shooters. But I only play it for the minigame servers.

Without many crucial changes to the prize-winning formula of the Souls series, Dark Souls II delivers a refined experience of a withering cyclical universe. Improvements including optimized graphics and performance along with tons of new weapons, andstat resetting are offset by somewhat mediocre bosses and a more linear storyline. These are not necessarily negatives however, as it made the game more accessible. With the addition of the DLC, the item pool was again largely increased and the difficulty and boss experiences completely ramped up. For these reasons I find the Scholar of the First Sin Edition a much better pick up at this point. But this game still deserves all of its praise.

In almost every aspect, this game makes you work for enjoyment, and some people may be turned away because of this. However, those who persist through the game reap the sweet reward of harvesting the souls of an enemy, and those who reach the summit leave with the knowledge that you conquered a truly difficult challenge.

Praise the sun.

This game is crafted beautifully; gorgeous locations (even if a little limited), brain-twisting puzzles, and an engaged storyline that makes you ask all the right questions about reality and the future of mankind. Amazing game overall, much recommend.
