yes, it has its problems but overall it is an enjoyable sci fi action romp.
the comparisons to dead space are unjust, it is a totally different game!!
a little janky in places but kept my attention up until the end and i recommend!

needs a new game+ but i am excited for the upcoming DLC and where the studio go with it.
if you are excited for the new dead space you owe it to yourself to support this studio after EA shut them down.

Also you can meow during cutscenes!!
Our cats like to watch it too and get freaked out by the meowing coming out the speakers!!

having just completed the game, i thought i would leave a review.

took me 19 hours on survival difficulty, trying to collect everything (some of which i missed) and generally exploring the world, which i do not think is bad, considering the obligatory new game plus mode adding longevity after finishing the game first time round.

after enjoying the first game, the free roaming parts took some getting used to but i felt suited the game well, giving you a bit of less intense break from the main storyline.

performance was good, 1080p/60fps with gtx 1070/i5 6600k

all in all, fantastic game, easily one of the best this year, especially if you enjoyed the first one.

It's DOOM!! thats all you need to know, got it running sweet with a mixture of high, ultra and medium settings for rock solid 60fps on a gtx 970 i5 6600k.
so so so glad i abandoned the ps4 for pc.

11/10 would abandon ps4 again
