Proteus is a beautifully created simulation, however, it is easily dwarfed by it's rival, Outside.

While its interactive sounds and vibrant colors are a nice addition, the limited controls, and the fact that there isn't anything you can actually do within severelay damages what could have been a masterpiece. Outside has a better range of controls, supports multiplayer, and has greater variation in the folliage and creatures rendered.

Don't play proteus. Play Outside instead.

There's not enough words in the english language to describe how bad this game is.

This game should be bought on the narrator's voice alone. Instead it decided to add in solid gameplay, beautiful artwork and a wonderful story. Challenging and rewarding, the game provides many differenent weapons, each with their own playstyle, strenght and weakness, and your mastery of each weapon will give you the edge against the multitude of enemies you will face.

A shining example of what indie games should strive for.

Solar 2 is an interesting space simulator where you take on the role of an asteroid and get bigger as you collect more and more material to advance to a planet, star, solar system, etc. Problem is, that's about it. There's a few addition to like rival planet/star/solar system attacking you and you trying to steal from them, but not enough to bypass the monotony of just wandering through aimless space looking for the stray asteroid to suck into your gravitational field.

If there are things further along within the game, I won't be aware of it since i'll probably be asleep by then.

Superb music, vibrant colors, and superb gameplay makes Monaco one of the best indie games i've played in 2013. Multiple classes, and the ability to play as any of them to clear a level, adds replayability as you try to beat the clock or clear all the loot on each level.

Monaco's multiplayer makes it even greater. The game is hectic as everyone tries to combine their individual skills to complete the game. While it's online multiplayer isn't the liveliest, the local co-op allows your for your friends and families to easily join in the fun.

In short, this game is a real gem.

Pretty generic run n gun 2D platformer. It's leashing mechanic and jetpack adds another dimension to the game but the controls feel 'loose', making it a bit hard to control where you are going at times.

Game itself is quite challenging, and the varying weapons allows for use to choose the best weapon to handle each enemy.

Overall, a decent game but there are better options worthy of your time.
