My journey began in the vibrant city of Malabo, located in the Bioko Norte province of Equatorial Guinea. Growing up in Malabo, I was surrounded by a rich tapestry of cultures and traditions. The city, known for its stunning views of the Gulf of Guinea and its unique blend of Spanish colonial and African architecture, was my playground. Malabo's vibrant markets, lively festivals, and the backdrop of the lush Pico Basilé mountain made my childhood an adventure.

In 2019, before the world was turned upside down by the pandemic, I embarked on a journey that would change my life forever. Alongside my cousins, I decided to cross the vast Atlantic Ocean on a boat, driven by dreams of new horizons. The voyage took us seven months of navigating unpredictable waters and overcoming countless challenges, but it was an experience that tested our resolve and strengthened our bonds.

Upon reaching the shores of the United States, I felt a mixture of relief and excitement. I made my way to Illinois, Chicago, a place I now call home. The transition was not easy, but I found solace in the pursuit of education and am currently studying international business. This field allows me to connect my past experiences with my future ambitions, bridging the gap between my African roots and my aspirations in the Western world.

In my free time, I escape into the world of Counter-Strike, a game that not only provides a distraction from reality but a way for me to connect with others and express myself, as I continue to seek acceptance and understanding in my new environment.
